Here you go. BTW I'm beginning to think the stuttering we see in these benchmarks is because the vram is saturated. I haven't checked the memory usage yet to verify.

The score that matters (GPU score) was beat a long time ago anyway.

update on my progress i have a05 on the system now but im having one hell of a time trying to get 10.5 the have disk method isnt even working this itme around like it did for the 920 system.

Edit- now catalyst install manager locks up and quits working on it lol. Im at stock dell drivers with it with a05 i would revert this one back aswell to make an even test but i dont want this problem to start affecting this system. Any ideas?

Try uninstalling the ATi driver and Catalyst Control Center entirely, clean with Driver Sweeper, reinstall the Dell Catalyst Control Center, and then install the ATi 10.5 driver over it.

I don't have nearly as much experience with ATi drivers as I do with Nvidia, so hopefully someone else can correct or verify this.

Given the general high (in)competence of Americans, I shouldn't place faith in anything developed here as well... yet surprisingly many things work.

And btw Futuremark - the developers of 3DMark benchmarks - are from Finland. Maybe you should sometimes check the map of the outside world. :p

A cpu multiplier of 29! That's amazing. I think it's funny how no matter how high the cpu is overclock, the 3dmark06 cpu score stays around ~4500, while the two graphics components of it skyrocket.

That's because 3dmark06 is a cpu benchmark, and Mandrake has the same cpu as the current top score. :p

Mandrake, you should be able to get 4800-5000pts for CPU in 3Dmark06. That would improve your score by another 300-500 ;)
    Great Job, BTW!

Will do. When I get off work I'll use my cooler and see if that helps out any. When I oc to your same settings and try 06, 06 crashes in the middle of those firefly things in the wood. Did you turn off the wireless and all background programs when running it?

General rule it turn off anything you don't use. That applies to benchmarking and everyday use. I used my Cryo with a portable AC blowing air into it at those clocks.

Today. Just need to wake up.

I had a fridge that put the notebook, when on it's side, directly in front of the air conditioner. So it blew directly into the fans. Now I'll have to find an empty room. But it was nice to have my desktop right there so I can browse the internet while the benchmarks ran.

What kind of differences do you guys get for SLI vs non-SLI?

I've got a Q9000/SLI 260m system, and after over clocking the CPU and GPUs I get an 11.8k out of 3dmark06. I turned off SLI, and the score dipped down only a couple hundred points. I was hoping to improve this..

Very impressive, but I would be remiss if I didn't point out that this is entirely impractical for daily use. : )

How about a run at normal temps, no extra cooling? I'd be curious to see how that goes. I'm at 870 and I'm seeing about 13400 GPU on an 820QM.

Ok so I would like to run some benchmarks on my system which arrived yesterday. I have never done anything of the sort, if someone could maybe point me in the right direction?? Or is it as simple as downloading some of those programs up there and running them?

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

I've been running 24/7 for several days at 870/1000 with no heat issues. I posted the benches for that, but it's a fair trade off to your run, with perfect stability.

    That said, again, nice run.
