I have been happily using the stock drivers for a few months now, but after low FPS in Skyrim, I have been tempted to install the 11.12s. However, I have tried installing the 11.10 and 11.11, and both gave me a BSOD after screen flickering during installation. I don't want to mess up again. What is the correct way to install the latest AMD drivers from stock? If there is a way, is there a way to do it without getting BSODs?

    If it helps, I have a 6990M.

Anyone else have issue not being able to access CCC on their lap tops? Performance on BF3 raises my RAM to almost max (6 here) and the game starts to stutter and freeze. . Still cant use Crossfirex with this game which is a shame because it is notably better looking when this is enabled. . Thank Fook my Aurora R4 arrives today.

if not able to access the CCC it's because of conflicting versions between software apps and drivers.
best to uninstall amd drivers completely using control panel then boot into safe mode and run driver sweeper, tick the amd drivers and click analyse/unsinstall. this will remove any remaining amd files from your computer.

reboot the computer and then install the drivers.

crossfire working perfectly for me with the 12.1 / 12.2 preview drivers.
the 11.12 drivers would bsod upon install, could not run crossfire at all.

Ive got 12.1 ccc working now, great. I did a reinstall of my .net files but this damn memory issue for xfire is really infuriating.

How much RAM are you using and how much usage are you noticing in game?

Mine is sky high up to 6gb . Ive recently defragged and cleaned everything top to toe and still after about 5 mins the game pauses and staggers in game.
Gotta be a fix guys , help.

Started downloading http://bf3.realmware.co.uk/battlelog-standalone/downloads which is supposed to help as well as Cloud syncing in Origin. We shall see.

hmm never had a memory issue. i do have 8gb ram though.
i'll check as soon as i get home how much ram it's using.
i assume you're checking via the default windows task manager?

    cloud storage is enabled.

Yep and the avg resource manager. Using gamebooster to disable all unwanted apps when playing too. Got my memory usage down a touch but before long the game starts lagging again. Defintely not connection lag either. Definite graphical lock down. Cant see what else to try other than upgrading my Ram but its not other 5gb ram since the changes i made. Using caps 3 too for the bf3 xfire profile. Bah back to one gpu for me.

    Adding my stats just incase.

Ignore 11.12 on an M17X my friend. These drivers are a right off. Either stick with the rather solid 11.10 or jump to the 12.1 preview drivers.

How would I get around a successful install of the 11.10 WHQL without a BSOD then? Thank you for the information anyway.

If you reboot your pc into Safemode , uninstall the old drivers though your control panel then use driver sweeper first . Reboot the pc into normal mode then download and install 11.10. Shouldnt get a BSOD that way. Of course continually rebooting 11.12 will leave you in a bsod loop.

Would Switchables and brightness still work? I've heard of people complaining that screen brightness control wouldn't work after installing 11.10.
