I tried to do some quick benchmark with 3dmark11 in Windows 8. I was only getting between 29-30 fps in the videos. So there is something not working right, either with the driver or something withing windows.

This would explain the low WEI scores.

Now we have something else to figure out.

No, the RTM is Build 9200. You can find a link to try out the enterprise version here. You'll have to sign in with your Microsoft account and fill out a forum. I haven't bothered with that version, yet. Though, be advised the evaluation only runs 90 days. At that point, it will lock itself down as a "non genuine" version of Windows, fade to black, shut the computer down every hour, etc. You also have no upgrade options from this trial. Of course, if you plan on wiping the drive clean after, it wouldn't matter anyway.

Tecrp7, I agree. I think something isn't functioning properly. I've yet to install any games, though. I may go ahead with the RTM trial and see how that changes things. Let us know if you find any solutions. :)

Regarding 306.23 WHQL and random black screens after resuming from Sleep S3, I've been doing some testing of various Nvidia official drivers - it may be of use to some of you guys as I have been resuming successfully from S3 sleep for some time now without a black screen - whilst I have Intel XTU 2.1 installed too, which I thought was causing some conflicts as sleep/resume seemed to be OK without XTU installed.

First, I tried every driver from the Nvidia website working backwards from the latest 306.23 to 301.42, which I am currently using for testing. Tried all the Beta's in between too using a clean install each and every time. All of the above drivers were black-screening on resume at some point but what I DID find is that if I uninstall Nvidia Update along with the Nvidia 3d Driver, guess what......no black screen. I plan on uninstalling 301.42 and re-running the 306.23 installation but this time, using a custom install without those options included. I will let you guys know the outcome and wether or not it is more stable.

I know it's not ideal as some of you may use 3d to an external, but for those that don't, there is no real reason to have the 3d driver installed anyway - same goes for Nvidia Update. Goes without saying YMMV if running 680m but this *seems* to be doing the trick for me thus far.....just hope it works on the latest drivers and hopefully, for 680m owners too....at least until Nvidia hopefully rectify this in their next release.
