    I didn't even know what exactly to look for :p The sticks have since made their way to the gf's computer so I won't have such easy access to them now..

    I was just looking for the black 30nm modules. Looking at the stock photos on the item description, what I bought was actually this YK0 model. Goes to show that not everyone can win the silicon lottery..

    So how do I completely translate manual settings from what CPUID says in JEDEC#5 for my RAM into a custom/manual XMP profile which has many more settings? Any help would be appreciated. If I use XMP Profile 2 in the BIOS the BIOS just resets it back to default. Thanks.

    No. I pulled the bottom kit out (not under the keyboard) to see. Still will not go past 1600. Even when I set to 1867 in BIOS and up the volts. I think it's safe to say that the Corsair CMSX8GX3M2B1866C10 is pretty much not going to work in the R1 @ 1866.

    As a suggestion for SPD timings in BIOS, you can take reference from the timings in XTU. I think XTU shows all the values that need to be set in the BIOS.
