    Under visualization I can't find anything related....it must be somewhere else.

    I found it.
    It's under Program Files>Alienware>Command Center>Media Plugin

    >iTunes
    >Winamp
    >x64(WMP 64bit)
    >x86(WMP 32bit)

    You can also use itunes with alienfx as well. You can enable it in plugins through itunes.

    Use your laptops to fuel sweet rave parties
    I'd recommend turning off your speakers since my camera phone sucks with audio and it sounds pretty bad.

    Try restarting your M18x. If that doesn't work uninstall AW Command Center and AW OSD. Then reinstall both programs and try again.

    I got mine to work and its really awesome - but everytime i close WMP the keyboard/lead all goes black and only way i can get it back is to open command center again... am i the only one having this issue?

    It should just take a moment or two for Alien FX to update the scheme and revert it back to what it was beforehand....at least thats what mine does when I close out of it.

    Alot of people couldn't figure out how to get itunes to work with AlienFX.
    To do this you have to have AW CC installed before itunes. If you have itunes installed first you will not see the Alienfx to select under visualizations.

    If it doesn't work in itunes.
    1.Have itunes installed.
    2.Uninstall AW CC
    3.Run CCleaner
    4.Install AW CC

    If you have a Alienware Tactx keyboard & mouse they utilize the AlienFX plugin in WMP/itunes just like the M18x & R3.

    this looks like a great feature, can you give us new m18x owners a step by step?

    i can see on WMP under plugins AlienFX, however what app are we talking about here? AlienFX controller? editor? that's all i see...

    how can deactivate it? everytime I want to stream webradio it starts blinking in various lights..not good if you need to work :D
    I tried to deactivate the plugin..but how do I deactivate it in the stream player??

    You need to switch view of WMP to "now playing" (bottom right icon on basic WMP screen) and when you have the black screen for WMP, right click, select vizualitions > alienware alienfx > default.

    Thats it. Im on a clean install and works perfectly.

    Im familiar where to change the visualizations, alienfx is not an option there. This is a windows reinstall from my 7 ultimate 64 disk that came with my m17x. Dell wouldnt send the M18x with ultimate preloaded, they told me to just use my old disc.

    Hmmm....maybe the M17x version of OS doesnt have the AlienFX Visualization stuff encoded into it, which would really suck for you, if thats the case. I would be on the phone getting Dell to send you the correct OS disc for your rig.

    This is an M18x that you have? - just your sig says M17x R2

    just found out about the WMP plugin through this forum. i tried to set it up, using WMP on my m17x r3:

    Now Playing > Visualizations > AlienWare AlienFX > Default

    WMP is at the focus (forefront), but nothing seems to happen. what's going on?

    I just tried all 3 of the sample Windows 7 music (I love Ninja Tuna on that note), and it just flashes random colors and doesn't feel in sync at all. :-/
