    Seem like nobody mentioned about how to get alienware FX working on itunes.

    That's good to know for folks that use iTunes. (I don't, but I'm sure there are folks that do, many of which possibly do not know about it.)

    You should start a thread for that, bro. Then we would have one for WinAmp, one for Windows Media Player and one for iTunes.

    For some reason my AlienFX plugin worked as soon as I installed iTunes without the need to manually add the plugin. It's nice to have an alternative none the less.

    The TactX Keyboard allows you to have 1 colour for the keys and another for the media control keys at the top of the keyboard.

    ^^^Your setup is crazy!! I'm so jealous, but it probably cost 4x more than mine.
    It worked for me in Itunes, but not WMP so I uninstalled Command Center and reinstalled it and now it works. I have an m17x r3 btw, not an m18x. Anyway, why can't the colors morph at all? It would be so much cooler if the colors could morph around along with the pulse.

    Also, is there any way to make this work for all sound. Like for Pandora or other online music, Youtube, etc.

    Unless some one writes a plugin we're out of look outside of WMP & iTunes. We have 2 M18x's. Only difference is one has a 2920XM and the other has a 2960XM. Maybe I'll make a AlienFX video in HD with both M18x's playing the same song. :)

    AlienFX does have an advanced set of features that includes morphing. It just doesn't do it very well. We are lucky that Dell/compaq took the time to include the AlienFX plugin for the M18x, M14x & R3.

    What you're looking for is the Optimus Maximus keyboard. Each of the 113 keys is its own little screen. The letters change when you press shift or turn on caps lock, and when you enter a program like say, Photoshop, it can be set to make each key show the shortcut that that key performs. If only it was cheaper or I was a millionaire...I wonder if anybody would actually be stupid enough to spend $1800 on a keyboard...

    is the fx timing on the itunes same as the one in wmp? wmp is already awesome but if there is some distinction between the two in terms of musical timing then i might give itunes a try also.

    I feel like there is a difference but I'm not 100% sure. In iTunes, it seemed laggy so I switched to wmp, but it still seemed laggy (but it felt less laggy) so I'm not sure. I think it just seemed laggy because I listen to mostly dubstep/ electronic and it doesn't change colors for a lot of the sounds.

    just wondering if this also works on the M15X and M11X R3?

    Would I have to update command centre or download a plugin lr aomething?

    hi Skygunner27, I just realize you got a alienware tactx keyboard. I got one too, but I lost my driver disc, and this make the backlight of my keyboard down. Can you help me to upload the driver disc on a host and then I can download and install it to fix my problem? Plz! Thank you a lot~
    ps: I really need the drivers because my desktop is not an alienware product. :(

    OMG I can't believe I didn't know about this! I am using the plugin with iTunes and yes it is amazing. It took me a while to realize I had to turn the visualizer on, and set it to the alienware one, but once I did pure awesomeness ensued. This just made me fall in love with my two alien's all over again!
