Getting 50 is not hard. I did missions/quests till the main story was finished (I was lvl 47 then) and then I did pvp for points/gear/xp till 50.

You can hit 50 through quests too if you don't skip many of them.

 

Grats on 30 Stomachius. I was on your team on PVP yesterday as Trekk.

lvl 16 for my operative and grinding is well grinding...

too many of the missions are the same or similar to sorcerer...

i have been mailing my lvl 16 credits and armor from the galactic market from my lvl 50 sorc for my operative and his pet to help but three or four levels under level for class missions.

more space battles and pvp I guess?

Hey Oni, what is the highest spec lightsabre you can craft for my sorc? I have not been able to get the KP HM drop and have mostly rakata gear now...

 

yea I didn't know if that was you or not. ill prob just wait for the updated legacy stuff to come out in 1.2 to level my sith alts. It should be much easier to level by then.

 

If I remember correctly the level 50 crafted stuff isn't as good as the stuff you can get other ways. At least the hilts from the daily PVE quests are better then anything I can craft. The actual light sabers require drops from world bosses I think.

How about you, me, ONI and Tony get online at 7 or 8pm tonight and ask whatever guildies or friends we might additionally need to take down a world boss?

I saw an amazing spec lvl 50 taking out the Alderan world boss ALONE a month ago. He died twice but did it he told me. That boss is right next to a datacron fyi and near the queens crown in the river if that jogs your memmory.

Guild leader (50+) bailed on us to join another hard raiding guild without any notice or discussion beforehand. Only a note on the guild website. Feel like I got punched in the gut...lol.

Was raiding EV and KP HM weekly now nothing....just an independent mercenary?

 

just be on the lookout for another decent guild. There are plenty to choose from.

 

I'm actually on a different server (had a guild setup with some friends ahead of time).

 

It sucks but that is not too uncommon on mmo's.

I remember a Guild leader in EvE online ran away with the guilds (they call it company instead of guild in that game) money (richest guild in the game) and it was a huge drama incident.

What I recommend you do is don't fret it because the game is still new, once it ages a little every server will have a few old elite guilds that everybody strives to join and at that point you have more stable options.

So for now find some friends and play with them, or just shout for public groups.

 

yup, I'm pretty much a lone wolf atm. Just looking for a decent guild to join, but i prob won't seriously start looking till I hit 50.

 

This advise is what a couple of my old guild members told me as well. Basically chill as this happens and things will gel all good.

Enjoyed BT HM yesterday with your guildies. I switched from maddness spec to lightning spec and at first missed death field like an old dog but now rock that beotch jedi at the end of BT and others with an affliction, thundering blast, chain lightning, crushing darkness over and over and over with no force loss! Over 10K damage with one rotation! And no force loss...

When the dust settles tony, we will prob. be in one of hugh big guilds...

Even if we are in different guilds there should always be a pick up game needing a good dps...

 

Been to busy to play the last few days, Hoping to find some time to get on this weekend.

 

I try to log in around 7pm EST everyday and see whats cooking. Last night it was dead and folks were ing about how nothing was going on and that servers needed to be merged.

A few added that the 1.2 update will offer a PAYMENT way to move between servers for that same reason of reaching a critical mass to gain better raiding groups more often...

 

We might wanna scout and look at moving servers then after the update to a more popular server?

 

I don't plan on moving servers unless there is a server merge. I have all slots filled so moving every slot will be expensive and besides I like this server.

 

Use up your champion commendations before 1.2 patch.

■The new Recruit gear introduced in Game Update 1.2 will not replace existing Champion gear on players that already have it. Existing Champion gear remains superior to Recruit gear but can no longer be acquired.

Crap! My alternate lvl 33 bounty hunter has 1000 1000 pvp points to unlock tier 3 pvp gear but cannot buy it until lvl 50!

My lvl 50 barely has any pvp points because I spent it on tier 1 pvp gear

By the time I get to unlock champion on that it will be time for the update!

 

I hope they allow some type of grandfather or grace period to convert or use up items that will become useless...

I am getting worried about the low numbers on our server...

 

AFK Vote Kick

Players will be able to vote to kick AFK players out of a Warzone. Any player can vote to kick a player through the group context menu. This will not initiate a vote prompt, but rather must be actively sought out by multiple players. Once a player has received several votes they will receive a prompt indicating that they’ll be kicked from the Warzone in a few seconds if they do not engage in combat or defend an objective. A player who is kicked from the Warzone in this manner will be returned to their original location before they queued, and will not be able to queue up again for several minutes.








The final score for your team at the end of a match now always directly affects the rewards of all players on your team. So, high scoring games will reward more. Thereby better preserving reward meaning for continued good team performance - even if it looks like your team is losing. Experience reward is an exception to this. It will be a factor of time in the Warzone and participation.

Players who earn few to no medals will have their overall rewards reduced. For example, if a player goes ‘AFK’ for some reason and gains no medals, they will receive no rewards.

 

Time to get my lvl 33 to afk allot more before the nerf

Hell the bounty got lvl 10-33 from afking so I am happy

Then again all you need to do is attack somebody every time you get voted and you won't get kicked!

As far as the no medals rewards thats easy, just crit heal yourself for 2.5k and u get a medal, problem solved.

well congrats my friend. I still gotta get to 50 so I can do some stuff with you guys lol.

 

Thursday night the v1.2 patch downloads so big changes...

Get to level 50 to unlock some neat stuff from that patch and you can raid with us. You will get great gear very very fast once you raid. Its like going from level 40 to level 50 after one raid as you can (if lucky) pick up three good gear pieces...lol.

If you get stuck with a class quest let me know and I will help you thru it. You won't get exp but you will walk thu it fast!

 

Thanks I'll try to power level through the story and get to 50 here soon.

Edit 1: Were u ever able to get your sons gfx card driver updated?

Edit 2: The 1.2 update looks pretty cool. Turned up all the settings and also played a bit with the UI. Gotta respec all my chars though since they reset most of the points on them.

 

Servers are thinning out and merging is expected next month. Should help with PVP que's and finding pick up games for FP's etc.

Legacy stuff unimpressive but the people that have stayed are more dedicated and less baloney while playing. New PVP map is much appreciated too.

How is the game maturing for you guys?

same here. In fact im only level 13 0_o Figure its to late to try and catch up with these guys. Don't even know why I per-ordered now.

 

I currently have (2) GTX 580M and am having a hard time validating SLI is enabled while in game mode. When using nvidia inspector my 1st GPU is idle but i am exiting full screen mode to check GPU usages.

Some say swtor has a sli profile with this driver but i am not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

There used to be a visual indicator "meter" and an on-screen logo for SLI that could be turned on, but I don't see that option in the NVIDIA drivers any more.
