Have you tried BF3 after the new update? It really is demo material.<----On topicLast edited by a moderator: Feb 6, 2015 -

No, I will be waiting for the price of BF3 (as well as MW3 and Rage) to drop to $20 or less before I purchase. It may take a while, but I bet by this time next year I can get Battlefield 3 at this price on a Black Friday sale.
I had a chance to get Crysis 2 for $19.99 yesterday through Origin but decided against it because I prefer Steam as my gaming platform. -
mr fox:
the main reason for getting these types of games when they first come out....is because of multipler game play.
the story took all of 7 hours too play. -
Making that determination is was what several of us are trying to assist you with by making some recommendations, not actually achieving a benchmark score.

Tested with all dell drivers & amd drivers zero9999 mentioned , formatted ssd , copy atioglxx.dll to bf3.exe folder , re-pasted can't resolve my problem.
My lowest temp 48c , highest 75c , doesn't seem overheat issue.
Not sure if 2,000,000 memory usage for bf3.exe , is that normal?
Forgot to mention , my bios ver is A00 , does that related?

but most have maybe 2 online games they mainly stay on top of. since ranking up takes allot of time to do, but once they have maxed it out..they may start ranking in the other. these games are fun the first time though, but most are just that...the first time through. and if your playing on easy mode...really not a challenge..has to be on either the 3rd or 4th setting for veteran gamers of that particular title.
iPhantomhives
1: download afterburner
2: install and then run the program
3: click on settings / monitoring
4: set it to display the temps and clocks in game
5: add your game to the list if not listed.
6: start the game.
this will let you know exactly what's going on. -
Hmm that's odd, iPhantomhives. I was going to ask if you tried removing and reinstalling the game, but given that you formatted your SSD and reinstalled Windows, that question in answered. You've confirmed it is not heat related, too.
What sort of anti-virus or anti-malware program are you running, if you are? You could have an overly aggressive scanner causing some issues. It seems as though perhaps something else could be consuming your resources or interfering with the operation of BF3.
John's suggestion to use Afterburner for the monitoring utility is a very good idea. It also has a nice OSD feature, which will let you see any changes in GPU core/memory clocks that might correspond with a drop in FPS.

I'll try Afterburner and post the result. -

side note:
im still waiting on my replacement 580m. so im more than likely going to refund it. since they now dropped the price of the 580m to 650/sli...i can use that extra 550 bucks for xmas. -

hummm and you did a master reset of the driver settings in ccc?
and if it does it to all games...then maybe...not all games...then a driver issues.
make sure the same driver info is on both cards as well. and disable crossfire and see what results you get with that. -

when i say reset. i mean the default setting link in the ccc software.

hummm, you never said if it happens in all your games.
with only one card...im doing like 40 fps -
-
iPhantomhives - after watching your video, I think you may have a hardware issue going on. I would yank out your primary GPU and replace it with the secondary card.
If you try it with the current secondary GPU in the primary slot and nothing in the secondary PCIe slot and the problem goes away you've found the problem. After testing the system with just that one card, put the other card back in as the secondary GPU and see if the problem stays fixed or comes back. I would ignore how many peak FPS you get doing this test with just one card installed and look for steadiness in frame rate.
It could still be something else, but doing this would immediately tell us if a GPU hardware issue is causing it. Watching the video, it almost seems as though there is a pattern, where the drop in GPU performance is coming in waves that coincide with something we have not identified. I'm just wondering if a voltage regulator or some other GPU component is "tripping" and resetting. -
im gonna go out on a lim here...is this a retail copy of the game?
-
So, are you thinking some malware is trying to "phone home" or something like that?
-
well..pirated versions some times do funny things over time...
-
Is it normal to get an average of 45-60 frames with the 6990's OCed?

Be glad you passed on the 19.99 because today it is 9.99! But again on Origin so you may not be interested anyway. -

Does Somebody get the same problem with me ? how to fix it ? -

i tried many time to refresh it but it didn't work.

Punkbuster causing most of these troubles.
Punkbuster is a piece of steam horse poop of a software that really does nothing but spy on your personal habits and files on your computer.
I saw on two different occasions hackers getting 100+ kills in 10mins with zero deaths, not even shooting at anyone. People just randomly die at different locations nowhere close to the hacker playing on the same map. -
-
The cheat is something to do with auto aiming loop hole in the game itself.
I saw this guy kill me and others simply by doing nothing but firing into the void like a mad-man hundreds of yards away from where we are. He was not at all involved in the action where we bunched together fighting it out say by the stair cases in the Metro map.
It was odd it seemed like every 10th or 20th bullet he randomly fired registered a random kill of anyone from the rival team. He could be firing into the open sky outside of the underground metro for all we knew and he would still get kills.
He was not invincible either he just hid away and fired into nothing to get the kills, when one of us got close to him he was pants as a player and we could easily kill him. -
As is normally the case with hotels, I have a HORRIBLY slow connection at this hotel. So, I will have to wait until I get home and download it Friday night. -
Wow. EA is just trying crazy to push Origin to Steam users.
Seems like it's working lol.
One thing I hate about EA/Origin is they charge sales tax lol. -
Guys, does BF3 work well with the 6990m CFX? I was very disappointed with Skyrim and I do not want to risk buying another game without making sure it will work flawlessly on my comp. On max settings, which fps should I be expecting with Radeon Pro? (currently using new dell driver and 11.11 Cap2) Thanks in advance
-
It must vary by state regulation, but I have to pay sales tax on Steam purchases just as I did on Origin. I'm not sure how that can be enforced or why Steam and Origin have chosen to comply with any state's regulations outside of the venue and jurisdiction where their operations are domiciled. It is unfortunate that any state would have enforceable legal authority to impose tax code on a business outside of its borders... that seems to defy logic and it's just wrong IMHO.
Looking forward to downloading and playing BF3 this weekend. -
I am on the 11.10 beta drivers with bundled CAPs. -
It's back up to the regular price again.
So, my BF3 adventures will have to wait until the next price drop... maybe closer to Christmas. -

On th M18 screen I get 40-60fps on 6990s. But an external display through HDMI I get 20-40. I just want to know why is that?
