if that is faster then 6300 and save times , i think the price is reasonable.

I pm'ed him about that too... typo maybe?
-
I was definitely wondering about that, too and also was going to ask.

Coming on Monday!
It's the lowest that we could find for shipping to the US and most of Canada. We tried UPS/Fedex/DHL/Purolator and Canada Post. Canada Post is the lowest but still around 30$+ for the US and 15-30$+ for Canada depending on distance from Calgary. And the irony is the price is the same up to 1kg weight, so it doesn't matter how many cards we send, as long as it's under 1kg, they charge about 30$ (with insurance and declared value).
If you can find a better deal with any other shipper, let us know and we can let you use your arrangement and will adjust the price accordingly. If I could, I'd ship for free.

Hey Aikimox do you think I could pick one up when I go to the stampede
-
100% 10 char
Do you wish me to keep one reserved for you?
-
Yes please do you need a deposit
-
Nope, just give us a call before you arrive and we can schedule the pick up time
-
Ok... I'm not normally a fan of stickers but I'm happy to have this "Killer" sticker added to my machine.
Thanks Aikimox

Can I just buy the sticker? Lol.
-
count me in once you receive the 1103!
-
I'm amazed by the low ping in online games and the amount of reduced lag due to Killer Manager controls. BTW, you will only be able to benefit from the 1103 in LAN and only if there are no weak segments between the destination points. I have no such environment neither at home nor at work, so for me 1102 is way to go. It's already here, has same features as the 1103 and costs less. The 1103 is said to appear in about 2 months, btw.
-
hey aiki, before switching to the killer, did you do all the registry tweaks such as tcpackfrequency = 1 in the registry while using the intel card.
-
I am going for the 1103 only so ill wait.
-
I did some of the tweaks but not that one. Also, you will need more than that for smooth online gaming. And then, if you have multiple online activities, you may need to change your settings each time you switch between those. With Killer, you don't need to think about it, everything is pretty much automatic. It will detect and give top priority to online games and video streaming w/o the need to tweak anything.
-
wow, i wish dell sold those cards at the time of purchase. if nothing happens in a august ill just order the 1102. By the way, have you heard anything about 6970M shortages?
. sager/xotic etc.. are no longer selling because of "lack of supply and allocation for new shipments".
-
What is the best set of instructions for this? I have a 6300. Thanks!
-
Search for "tcpackfrequency" in google and I am sure you will find clear instructions on that, clearer than me typing and trying to explain. Overall, it is a simple procedure and does help a lot with ping from my experience without any disadvantages.
-
Cool, was just looking for a link (definitely was not looking for you to explain) because I have found a several different variations but I will be good. Thanks.
-
Important information for those who have ordered the Killer 1102:
Use Dell drivers instead of the ones found on the Bigfoot Networks website. Dell drivers are more up to date and optimized for M18x

Is there a big different between Intel 6300 and bigfoot 1102/1103?
-
In online gaming - yes. In general computing, it's usually your network limitation not the cards, so neither will be able to show the true potential in most scenarios.
-
Here's the latency during regular office mode with tons of Chrome tabs with flash, scrolling PDF, active Skype calls, etc, with Dell drivers:

-
So Dell has drivers for the killer cards? Or do you mean generic drivers?
-
Dell modified drivers. Bigfoot generic drivers are older.
-
Just curious: why Dell have drivers (even modified) for the BigFoot Killer when it doesn't sell it?
-
They may start offering the card in a couple of months.
-
So, maybe they are start listening... and learning from some initiatives started here (he,he,he...
)
edit: hope they will do the same with the screens... -
Mechanized Menace Lost in the MYST
What is the latency difference in game?
-
Everything is still green, not much of a difference. Or did you mean the ping?
-
Mechanized Menace Lost in the MYST
The ping is what I meant. Have you noticed a drop in ping? -
yes. I only play AA3 from online games and the ping is reduced about 20-25% across all servers. Also, there's far less lag.
-
Mechanized Menace Lost in the MYST
Great to hear! I am still waiting for the 1103 as I do LAN a lot. I would like to also have the 450MBPS transfer speeds as I transfer a lot of files on my home network to different computers. -
AA3? I have not heard of that abbreviation before and I play any mmo I can get my hands on.
-
I think this is what he means:
AMERICA'S ARMY 3 :: EVERY DETAIL COUNTS -
Yikes, looks like a propaganda game paid for by US taxpayers like me. I really didn't want to pay for it...but maybe I should play it if I helped pay for it already.
-
yep, that's the one. It is of course a propaganda game but who cares when you can enjoy it with your friends. I used to play for a clan back in the ver.2.x times. Bridge crossing was my favorite map. What a fun that was... sigh...
-
its true, games are always as good as the people you play with : D. its kinda sad though.
-
Yeah as long as you have good friends to play a game with then you will have a good time.
I play Final fantasy 11 for 9 years and ever since my friends quit I have not had any fun with it ;_; -
This thread is just another reason I ordered as Stock as I could manage. Am thinking about ordering before my system even arrives ....
Thanks again Aik -
You are welcome, M8!
Will have to order another batch shortly, the current one is almost sold out. -
I believe it! This is a sexy card although the shipping cost is seriously too high for an item of this weight. I understand that the shipping is constant with heavier orders but that still does not justify it.
PS: I know its not your fault Aikimox. -
Yeah, like I said, if someone has a better arrangement - let me know. You can use your own shipping method/account and schedule a pickup. Yesterday I sent one to Edmonton (3 hrs drive from Calgary) and DHL charged me 20$. Sadly, we don't ship in astronomical numbers to match Newegg's shipping costs of 8-10$.
-
I am a little surprised that $30 is the best you can do. Is it some kind of expedited or special shipping and/or insurance? If so, then I definitely understand. However, I looked up a 1lb package from Calgary to NYC on ups.com and they said $20.44 or something like that for standard shipping for a declared value of $45USD and usually UPS is much higher than the postal service, at least, in the US it is. I also looked on eBay and the person selling the 1102 from the UK is charging a little over $16USD to ship to the US. Finally, I found this item, among many others, that ship from Calgary to the US (or Canada) for $15 (and others are even less)...
Seagate 80 GB,Internal,7200 RPM | eBay (I would assume that the tiny network adapter and its support materials would weigh less than this) -
Aik, any chance on providing a link or pictures as a tutorial on how to install this ?? (maybe one was posted and I missed the link)
-lol again, don't have the system yet but know I am going to want this
-
Hey can I pick one up?
This is weird I'm usually the one getting bent over from shipping. -
Will do later on, it's very simple, just remove the back panel, unplug antennas, remove 1 screw from the card, remove it and insert the Killer. Follow in reverse order and you are good to go
Sure, just give me a shout/PM/Email.
Attached is a screenshot of the lowest price option from UPS.ca to New York - CA$25.75. Canada Post is currently on strike but the last time I checked they charged over $20 anyway. Sent another one within Canada via DHL Express today - 29$.Attached Files:

aikimox, so the 1102 is available now? what about the 1103?
-
Mechanized Menace Lost in the MYST
The 1102 is available now, but he said he was running out(still has some though). He said he was going to be ordering more 1102's soon, but the 1103 he said would be a couple of months until he got them.
