    Hello! I have a question.

    Is the 1102 card compatible with the m17x r2 equiped with the Intel 6300 card ?
    I mean, the Intel 6300 got 3 antennas and the 1102 card got only 2 antennas… there's no problems to let one antenna unplugged ?

    does the bigfoot killer n 1102/1103 allow u to use your laptop as a WiFi hub like the Intel n 6300 does? I'm new to the gaming scene so I'm lost when it comes to network cards, etc.

    You can make most if not all wifi cards act like routers. But why would you even bother when wireless routers support multiple connections anyway? :confused:

    Aiki- Good question, I use my HD2 to tether when on vacation but that is because there is no WiFi in Disney's Pop Century hotel :(

    I guess if you had a mobile broadband connection you could share it with others.

    yes, or you could also use another wifi card instead of the wirelessHD and dedicate it to tethering. Hmm, you know what, I'm gonna give it a shot. :)


    BTW, unless you can find an expresscard 34 mobile broadband with imbedded sim card slot, there's no way to have WWAN in M18x :(

    I was under the impression I would be able to use my laptop (17/18x) as a main computer and setup my wireless server and use the the laptop for the wifi hub until I get a desktop when I move out.

    And you can do that with the Killer or any other wireless card. Just go to control panel -> network and sharing center -> setup new connection or network -> setup a wireless ad-hoc.

    Installed this card (1102) in my M17x last night (Couldn't use the dell drivers since it told me I needed to install them on a dell machine :confused: :confused:) since I am still waiting for my M18x. Didn't do any gaming but browsing my network was allot quicker (have a folder with allot of folders and MP3s) on my NAS drive and it refreshes much quicker :D.

    hmmm, it works though just gotta use the reference drivers I suppose. Maybe the whitelist removal in the new modded bios will help this issue?

    Glad to hear that it's working faster on your LAN. My network is too slow for this or any other card, heh. As for the drivers, as long as you have no issues with the Killer drivers, you're fine. Have tried the M18x driver btw?

    I am definitely going to look into buying a m18x from these guys... especially since they *can* get the gtx 580m for the m18x.. which dell's site refuses to put back up... :)

    Most people who have it are coming from the Intel 6300, and they're saying it's better even though it's only dual band/2 antennas.

    I'm waiting on the 1103 to come out; that or the Atheros AR9462/WB222.

    BTW King, have you got the 4850Ms to work in your C90? (OT, I know)

    I just got an email back from Keith Washo, Sr. Director of Sales, at Bigfoot. He says the 1103 will be shipping "mainstream" on July 25th.
