Yes, i know i asked for a new drivers from Dell. In fact mine (factory drivers) are not even in the download section..
Sorry for the delay, im meeting a girl, for this reason I spend less time here, jeje.

Im going to pass mark's test, but you have to tell me how can i make a crysis test, which program gives me a average framerate?

Here's the latest leaked AMD driver, not officially released yet:

    [email protected]

Just ignore the warnings during installation.

Hanging out with a girl is a good reason for, apology accepted :D
There's a benchmark test integrated in Crysis as far as I know... I never used pass mark, but vantage and 3dM11 would be very interesting single card benchmarks.

Ok, great!! Thanks a lot, +rep if allowed. Hope you can post a vantage as well when you find time.

Now I have to search a stock 6970m 3dM11 score, seems I have deleted mine... or just run it myself :D

So what's with the error? Is this not a good card?

Your Score is Low Compared to Similar Systems.
    There may be a problem

I dunno, its strange but I think are a good scores.

One question, if a single card give me 2 points(for example) cfx suppose have to be 2+2=4points?

    @Koelle,

The GPU score for the '11 is right on par with the 580M - no bad surprises here! :)

    Aikimox, is strange,

    3dmark11 single 3445, cfx 6441, not 3445 x 2 = 6890 ¿? -could be drivers problem?

Its possible to choose wich card is working? or the system choose the same always?

And how you see the temps?

    Mine arrived today as well.

Here's Vantage, 2720qm (haven't put in my ES yet) all stock dual 6990s running on 11.7b:

    22591

Edit: A bit disappointing since my x7200 with an i7-960 and dual GTX 485s hammered this score at stock with 24,000+

Do you happen to know where I can find the stock 6990 drivers from Dell? I reinstalled Windows on an SSD as soon as it arrived and, strangely, the package didn't come with the usual driver CD.

If you create a dvd restore, the same dvd restores the m18x to factory settings, including video drivers, but if you want I can find in my computer and upload for you.

Damnit. It looks like they run quite a bit hotter than the 6970's. Right? I'm not that tech savvy, but aren't those temps pretty crappy? Especially with no overclock?

I read that 85C is as high as you should be comfortable with for GPU temps. And he's @ 93C it looks like on one of the GPUs. I guess I was misinformed? And overclocking the 6990's will probably put it up a few more degrees, no?

Pretty much identical to the 580m that was posted by a M17xR3 owner (14000). Nice the cards are so similar, to bad the Nvidia is so expensive.

Generic VGA video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-2630QM Processor,Alienware M17xR3 score: P14072 3DMarks

BUT when you compare the GPU scores, the 580m is better, 13242 vs. 12675 for the 6990m. Pretty close though.

You had a desktop CPU in your x7200, this inflates your score. You need to compare the GPU scores only. 23k vantage GPU is pretty nice for stock clocks.

Well, powerful cards usually run hot, that's not crazy, they can handle pretty much. But of course more heat stresses the card harder. I guess this can be improved a lot with a repaste and maybe even more with a retention clip mod if this is possible.

I'll agree that desktop chips can tend to inflate scores, but the i7-960 gets raped by the Sandy-Bridge mobile chips. My 2920xm stomps my friends' 4Ghz 950. Also, was that 24,000+ score with physx enabled?

As far as overclocking goes, I can push them to 870 core/2080 memory and run stable. 880/2120 fails. So, looks like they OC around the same as an above-average 6970 (at least these particular chips do).

Would be interested hearing others OC limits.

Yes, the last Vantage run I did at those speeds was 23386 (only about 700pts over my stock scores). I think I'm CPU limited at this point... will be putting in my 2920xm tonight.

Didn't have time to check temps thoroughly before work, but highest I saw was 86c - strange because my GPUs seem to idle around 62c.

3dMarkVantage is the most popular benchmark here is seems. A single card run would be best (one GPU disabled), single card lets us isolate the GPU performance better. After that I think people would like to see an overclocked singlecard Vantage run. 820/1100 would be a good easy OC. The free version of 3Dmarkvantage has no settings to change, so it is easy to do. Also you can post the link to the results easily.
    Thanks for helping.

I'll do single GPU, single GPU overclocked to those values, and Crossfire OC'd at those values.
