damn 108.02 bclk. is that just luck of the draw or do you have special extreme edition bios settings that allow for a higher bclk?

trial and error till it works. but dont think for a moment that that is stable..but the 107.7 seems pretty stable, but havent put it to a full blown test.

my max is 106.51. i cant seem to post 106.6/106.7. is that what you mean by trial and error or did you hit a wall and continue climbing in bclk?

i always thought our bclk wall was low when using an extreme cpu, but i guess it can go higher.

if i were you, i would down clock my cpu to as low as it can go, then work on bclk...speculation of course.

I'll have to try this for fun when I receive my M18x, I'm hoping that it'll be today, but will have to wait and see. Plus my RAM will be from Crucial, so we'll see what that would be like.

    Great thread guys.

You go into advance settings in bios then into peformance in bios and then to memory frequency and change it to 2133.

I then increased the memory voltage to 1.60

"This is for the 1866mhz HyperX memory"

If you use the setting in the bio I don't think it actually running at 2133mhz. Use hwinfo32 and read your ram now. See if it actually list 2133mhz under there.

Hwinfo only reports what the baseline is for the memory, not what it is clocked at presently, if you have a 1600Mhz memory module it will show it at 800Mhz which would be correct for the base memory speed before it is overclocked from the manufacture. It is not the actual speed it is running at present.

Use CPU-Z (Memory Tab) to see the current RAM frequency.

CPU-Z works the same way as Hwinfo and does not show what the ram is running at the present time.

    ummm, yes it does.
You see where it says 1101 mhz. That lets the world know that you are running at 2202 mhz. this is standard industry way.

so, if your does not say 1066 then you are not running at 2133 mhz. and even in the bios it will tell you what speed you are running at as well....

If it was then the frequency would change as you use the laptop or desktop which it does not and you will notice that frequency is exactly the specs the chip manufacture rated it as, not the module itself but the chip itself. The Bios will tell you is correct, just not CPU-Z

as to the bios telling you it's correct. you would have to scroll down the first menu and it will show you exactly what you are booting at.. not where you change it at. making a change does not say it actually took.
seems to be some confusion on your part...
once you post a screen shot, we will know what you are really running at. :)

Congrats Riri-Fifi I have similar Samsung 1600mhz running real nice at 2133... I tried a few different profiles then just made my own... I flashed Corsair 1866 .thp and with the missing 7/8t latencies added... then the main plug and play profile is set now to 2133 first i used 12-12-12-36 for awhile... they seem to bench and play and run just fine on my new timing

just bought another set these are the model number I used... hoping the ones I recieve are binned well :)
    Samsung 8GB (2 x 4GB) PC3 DDR3 12800S 1600 MHz SODIMM LAPTOP Notebook MEMORY | eBay

    i am using them now for a few days at 2133 @ 10-10-10-28 :)

i threw in a few attempts at using high baseclock at 2133 :) not a 2300k like John but maybe one day I'll boot it :)

Thanks Brother John got another pair of Samsung same model to put to the test and lol gotta fix my Corsair somehow... flashed too low of a SPD table so far to boot to Windows and reflash ... doh!

These are my original Samsung that came with computer ill post pic of this model and also its actually chip info...

the second set of Samsung I still need to put through the ringer.

Prema I'll run a test at 1.5v I hadn't done so would be interesting if it worked ;) not sure though last I knew lower gave trouble I'll do another memtest at 1.5v just to check :) how long is fine enough don't think I need to run another 31hours...

guys 9-9-9 didnt work when i tried but maybe you can suggest how to change the timing table to try Kingstons elusive 2133 9-11-9-27 @1.5v that have yet to be sold... check my pics any way to adjust that table to make up for the 9-11-9 I know possibly how to drop it into those 9's but what would I change for that 11? I know which value it is but if I raise that and lower the 10 to 9s whats the other value need to be down below the 4 usual latencies 9-11-9-27?

that's easy for a guy like you.
    1: take off the keyboard
2: remove all ram except for a low grade working one.
3: put it in the bottom slot. (under keyboard)
4: boot to bios and set 1333
    5: shut down
6: get jacked up ram ready for insertion...
7: turn on computer and wait 2 seconds and insert jacked up memory.
    8: boot to windows
9: this is the trickey part...make sure you flash the right one because TB can read both memorys.
10: once flashed, shut down and turn off. turn on and boot to bios. that stick should now be showing.

Thank you John :) I didn't know and thought they may be stuck :|
Your a good man Brother John I'll give that a go late this morning.

    here are the results btw

Just an update the above Samsung Model is as follows and the specific memory chips numbers too. As I have bought a second pair same model i found second set has different date code and different memory chips on it. So the following is the information on the chips which I have working at 2133mhz 10-10-10-27

    Samsung M471B5273DH0-CK0
    4Gb 2Rx8 PC3-12800S-11-11-F3 1134 (date code)

    chip info:
    SEC 131 HCK0
    K4B2G08460
    GEG668GAC

I retested using 1.5volts on the ram on Memtest86+ and it failed after a few hour... so 1.55V is required at 10-10-10-27 on mine.
