Glad I don't have to do that anymore. Though knowing my luck, my M18x will have dust, dead pixels and scratches lol! Give me some positive Tony Robbins inspiration man! :D

Enjoy having a girlfriend while you still can. :p

Have you used the Cryo LX before? If yes, did the notebook slide off of it? I was looking at the Coolermaster U3 or the Ergostand

BIG BUMMER. I have to edit my WOOhoo! its shipped!. It was not shipped yet.. one of dell's pages said it was shipped, but after digging for a tracking number I came across a more detailed page. Its in 'Finalizing Production' stage.

If it says shipped it's most likely SCshipped which means they already sent it off to FedEx. By tomorrow you should have a tracking number.

well on the initial order status page it says shiped... but when I click on the product order number it takes me to another page that has a more in depth outline of the order. Like processing, Pre production, Finalizing production, shipping, arrived. And I'm at the FP.

On the page that says shipped, hover over the shipped word with your mouse cursor (do not click) and tell us what it says.

If I remember correctly, the default fan installation has them blowing towards the table top, I flip mine so they blow into the laptop :)

And my M17x R1 had no issues with sliding but my OCZ Whitebook before it did slide, had to make a slight mod to catch it so it would stay on there. The rubber feet on my R1 work fantastically to catch a groove and hold it on the Cryo though

Notepal U3 is also a good one....I had a Cryo for a bit and I felt that the U3 was a bit better as I can place the fans right under the gpu's and cpu WHEREVER they are on a system as they are movable fans.....

    Just my two pennies!

My status just changed to shipped! After talking it over with the wife I think I'm going to use my two Intel X25M Gen 2 SSD's in RAID 0 vs buying a Vertex 3. Saving $500 bucks for how makes her happy and I don't think I'll lose very much performance... what do you guys think?

I did however just receive my 8GB of Kingston HyperX 1866 Memory :)

Newegg has the OCZ vertex 3 max iop edition for 280. Sorry to play devils advocate but im tempted on buying a second one. 550mb/s R/W on a single SSD is sooooo sexy. Blows my agility 2 raid0 out of the water, so i cannot image to see a raide 0 of vertex3's

Thats funny. You say you ordered on the 9th with a EDD of June 1 ? I wonder how that works... because I ordered on the 7th and had a EDD of June 2. Anyhow this morning it went into shipping. So yours should follow tomorrow or the next, depending on your build. Mine was all stock spec, with a basic memory upgrade.

I had free NBD upgrade, so if you ordered on the 7th, mine should be on the way since I ordered in the 9th. Mine had a upgraded processor, stock memory, upgraded video, and upgraded wifi. Granted there was a few more things, but nothing to hold back on. What color did you get?

I just called the number and all I get is, "In Production - Build Stage".

Will check again tomorrow morning before 11am and then after 2pm.

When my wife got her M14x, FedEx actually got the label info sent to them from Dell like 3 days before (5/7). We had a deliver date of 5/10 when it was 5/9 and also 5/10, but until they picked it up (on 5/10) I think, it just didn't update at all.

Good thing is once FedEx picks it up and you have NBD shipping, it'll be there the next day.

They called my house too to say they needed a signature and all that.

I'm a tad annoyed that my unit isn't on route but honestly I won't have a ton of time to play with it until next week anyway. Still, would be nice to bring it with me this weekend to Boston even if I don't have time to tweak and test. :)

Status from 3 different Dell order status pages:
    In Production
    Shipped
    Finalizing Production

Plus FedEx has received the shipment information (yesterday). So I really have no clue where it is in the process!

Call fedex and find out. If you have NBD, then Dell is likely shipping it to FedEx in your state for delivery via home indirect.

Yeah I figure it's coming from where ever they are built. It's what they did with the m11x R3, first FedEx entry was here in GA, just outside of Atlanta so I assume it flew in there and was dropped off at a FedEx Home depot. I went with the 7 day though. Got the m11x the day after FedEx picked it up and had 7 day on that too.
