Dang, looking back at the m11x shipping info they got the shipping info on the 25 but they didn't get the package until the 28th and was delivered on the 29th. So if this holds I won't get it until the 20th.

Make us proud Joker....I am forced to live vicariously through until Dell gets their heads out of their behinds!

Its odd that now I want something badly, it doesn't come quickly. However something I don't care about much ships right away...go figure. -

The latest from my rep
"The order is in the final stage and going through the final testing before ship.
I am positive that the order will ship within 2-3 days and the next business day is approved." -

-
stormingblizzard Notebook Enthusiast
What's the number Baboon? I wanna give them a call too.
-
So it seems like all the orders placed from the 1st to the 7th are getting shipped now. Most likely the orders placed the following week (8th to the 14th), like mine, are for next week maybe. We will see though...
Just trying to put some reason behind Dells process....if correct. -
Mine ordered 5/5 is still at in production status.....
-

Ordered 5/3, called Dell to see what status of "In Production" my m18x was in; my rep didn't know so she waived my $29 one day shipping fee
-
Yep.. ordered mine 5/6 and it's still in the build stage...
-
Same with me, Ordered on the 5th and still in production. Question to those of you who ordered early. Which color did you choose?
-
It seems those who has red M18X get shipped first~
But Now dell.ca shows...
Nebula Red Anodized Aluminum add $0.00
May delay your Alienware M18x ship date -
Ordered on the 3th and still in production. mine is black
-
TheMatrixHacker Notebook Evangelist
ordered may 7th. Black. says SCshipped on one page, and Finalized Production on another.

I never thought that a Clevo x7200 fanboy like myself would be typing this. But after seeing the price/performance I made up my mind.

I also had to decide between the M18x and x7200 but the keyboard and warranty sold me on the Alienware (and past good experiences
)
-
Yeah I just can't wait till Clevo releases their x7200 with Sandy Bridge E desktop in Q4 2011. I will weep tears if that actually happens. Definitely will be praying for that to get delayed to feel better.
But simply put I managed to get a $70 Purdue Student Discount and Next Day Repair will be key if I'm in the middle of no where during a Co-Op. Either way I look forward to the NBR community and actually helping people out rather than researching laptops for 1.5 years. -

The 3rd?! Like 2 weeks ago?? Man alive... I only ordered mine last friday and I'm refreshing that status page like every hour.
-
At work right now so late reply. Number is one I obtained from here - 1-800-254-3692. It's all automated, follow the prompts. -
-
Same here with the 5/3 order. Kinda good to know lots of people with very similar or exactly the same config are in a similar boat. That likely means they'll all go out at once. It would rock to have it before this weekend.
-
According to dell, the build time has changed to 12 days, instead of 13. So it went down 1 day from around a week ago. From the start it used to be 15.
-
TheMatrixHacker Notebook Evangelist
well mine has been in SCshipping for 3 days. So I think that doesn't mean anything. The more detailed page says Finalized produciton... and I'm assuming they are building it.. I hope it does not take even 12 days. I'm supposed to get it by the 2nd of June hoping for early landing.

Ordered the config. below on 5/3 with an EDD of 5/31. Depending on the Dell page you visit my order is in the following stages: Shipped | In Production | Delivery Preparation | Finalizing Production
I don't know which page is correct so I'm going to assume none of them are as I've been stuck in the above status for the last 3 days! :O
For sanity's sake I'm going to assume my original EDD of 5/31 is the most accurate. From the other posts it looks like the black cases are slower to deliver then red. Has anyone received a black unit yet? -
cookinwitdiesel Retired Bencher
I am still waiting on mine in black, ordered 5/4
-
yeah ordered on 5/3 with my EDD being 5/25 and i am still in production.....been there a long long time......wonder if there is a shortage on the black body or something......Team red seems to be getting out of the gate fast.....
-
cookinwitdiesel Retired Bencher
Mine and Jacks rep had mentioned a shortage on the cases, guess he meant the black ones
