M18x Order Status Discussion

you can call 1-800-254-3692. Press option 2 then option 1. Once you enter your order number it forwards you on to a dell automated number where you need to enter the number one more time. It will then say in production and which stage. No Rep or human interface required

 

Maynard is reliable, he has a high corporate sales rep that can check the order status for you, got me my tracking info days before dell did

 

Okay, I was happy to see my m18x is going to be delivered on the 31st rather than the 8th of june, however I will be 400 miles from home that week leaving on Monday... So I'll have to sit around a whole week knowing it's at my house talk about torture

And before you ask I ordered the 18th shipped on the 26th all stock but nebula red and cf 6970s

 

Very handy. My M18X is in the build stage and says it will be shipped on 27 May. I'm pretty skeptical it's going to go from the build stage to shipped stage in one day so not going to get my hopes up.

 

For some reason, i get transferred to an indian.

Wait what? I know some people that ordered on the 6th that still haven't received it but I ordered on the 17th and I went from a delivery date of 6/8 to 6/6 after I got NBD shipping. I went into production on the 18th so I should be receving it on 6/1 at the greatest. My config in sig. Guess that's life.

 

i ordered mine 23 of may and my EDD is 10 of jun and now in production,and thanks cwelsh for the info i called dell and my stage now building the system so normally it takes how many days in production before it's ships ?

Edit: Called the Dell order status thingy and there's no mention of a ship date like before. Wheee!!!

 

If you need an english keyboard, ask them and they will send you one for free.

It take 5 minutes to replace the keyboard.

That's lastest info I got now. Any idea how long it will take to have my order REALLY shipped? Don't know if they can ship it out tonight so I can have it tomorrow. Otherwise, have to wait until Tuesday ;(

 

Ya, long weekends can be torture for shipments haha

 

i was hoping mine would ship today........I orderd on the 13th and still in porduction!!! WOW its gotta be a shortage of something somewhere because I don't see how they are having this system to me by the EDD 6/7 because of the long weekend :/

 

They updated my EDD to June 16th. I'll see you guys in 3 more weeks.

its not as bad as my position, as of 4am CST its in my cities sort faciliy, wont be out til tuesday the 31st and monday i leave for work and will be 400 miles away til friday evening. This laptop was for me to play games on while im on the road ( I work for the railroad) and i just wish it would have came earlier so i could have taken it with me :/

 

Mine too. EDD June 16th. They are crazy. The Indian guy from Dell call me every 2 days with bad news. And he end the conversation with "thank you for choosing Dell" grrr

 

Alienware has had a shortage of Red and of the wifi HD. People who ordered either or both of those options have had to wait weeks longer.

Did they offer you something to compensate for the delay?

 

I heard statuses on Dell and their computers won't show up till Tuesday. Some rep from Nashville told me that when I called yesterday.

no they didnt since it extimates 6/7 and low and behold I got an email today..............yes on sunday saying that the item has shipped and edd is 6/2 Idk how this goes down I guess its over nighted some how even though it says ground because it has no info on the tracking number and it cant possibly move tomorrow unless fedex works on this holiday....................IDK but can't wait for thursday! A little torn becuase now I have to juggle this and X-men first class

In Production. then again its Memorial Day. Order statuses should be updated by tomorrow. Mine better be shipped I swear.....

Is it red incidentally? There were rumours about a shortage of red bodies.

What I do know is that late last week I contacted my rep when my EDD was updated to 14th of June. That would make it over a month between ordering and delivery which I thought was a bit rough. My rep told me there was a part shortage that would not be resolved until the 30th of May and he would see what he could do as a gesture of goodwill. I was expecting an extra hat or something, but he got back in touch with me later the same day to say mine had been completely built... It left the factory on friday, arrived in the country yesterday. It's all a bit weird but either way I would get in contact with your rep.

OMG I become a little bit worried about my recent m18x order after reading previous threads. I placed it on May 26th and the EDD is June 16th. It's a black one. I really worried about delayed delivery since I'm heading to Hong Kong on June 27th...

Did you order it with the wifi hd because that has slowed shipments too?

 

Dell called me this morning to inform me that my order will be shipped tomorrow (Tuesday, May 31st). With the NBD, it will be delivered exactly on Wednesday, June 1st (original EDD).

Personally, I think although there maybe some shortages, but they still try to work their best to minimize the amount of delay which may cause some cacellations from the customers. So don't lose your hope and you will have yours soon.

 

Nope~ I only selected the best CPU and video card also 1.5T hard drive.

 

Another day, another day in production. God damnit.

I am back in the wait game since I am getting issued a exchange due to a paint chipped lid. Somehow I wish I can change the order or extend the warranty, but I can't :/

 

My Rig has finally been delivered to my door step. Sadly i still have four hours left of work before i can be home and do the covented unboxing.
