M18x Order Status Discussion

Dont know if it makes much difference but I ordered a Nebula Red M18x on the 2nd June and it arrived yesterday 10th June....8 days from order to delivery....and was Red....dont know if it makes any difference that Im in the UK.....

Thought I would toss that in....

 

It does. The red is only on backorder in Canada and the US I believe

 

My black M18x got delayed until 7/22 :| when I called they didn't have any idea why.

There is so much rage I can't type.

 

ordered through AAFES yesterday. Status just says that the supplier received my order.. Can't wait til I see that change lol. I check pretty much ever 3 hours.

Anyone know how to find the expected ship date if you ordered through AAFES?

 

Just got an email stating that my order has been delayed again. My new EDD is 24 June. Awesome. Maybe I should just cancel the order and get something else. I'm normally a pretty patient guy but this is ridiculous.

 

Phobic looks like the Wireless HD is causing the delay and also the red color, if you are willing to give up those 2 options (maybe install wireless hd as a part after) you may receive it a lot sooner.

 

I feel for you guys.....I ordered 2nd June and it landed on the 10th June....8 days for Nebula Red....obviously no shortage Nebula Red in for the UK market but then again, as Shaq said, could be to do with the WiHD which we dont have an option for in the UK.......

 

Dr Villain, you'll get an email with a link to your order through AAFES. They will provide you with a link to Dell to get your Dell order number. You can use that to track your order just as if you had ordered directly from Dell.

 

My EDD is 7/1..lets see if it gets pushed back again.. original EDD was 6/16.

If it is the WiHD Cards, I dont understand how NO ONE at Dell has any idea when they'll be getting more in.

Yeah I was thinking about that but the only problem is that I got an amazing price. I guess I really shouldn't complain then, huh?

 

Yea plus june 24th isn't that far away and it will most likely arrive before that, i thought i read july 24th and i was like whatttttttt??? but you should be good it would take longer for a new system to be created at this point my guess is your system is 99% built and they are just waiting on a new shipment of wireless HD transmitters, as soon as they come in yours should ship.

 

Seriously considering removing the WirelessHD crap if that's whats holding it up.

Any idea if changing a single item is possible?

 

They'll refuse to let you change it while it's listed as "In Production" plus it's clearly listed in their FAQ. You'll have to cancel and reorder

 

I guess I got off fairly easy...I ordered my Red 18x on June 7th and it shipped June 13th, just waiting for FedEx to get it here.....I didnt order the wireless HD so maybe that helped.

anybody ordered via aafes oconus? I wonder how long it will take from the day it gets shipped. they say like 6 weeks...

 

I would not expect anything quick from aafes as far as shipping goes

 

This is disheartening. I ordered from AAFES yesterday and it says

It definitely tales a bit longer. When I was overseas, I learned my lesson by having my dell shipped to someone in the states first THEN have them ship it to me overseas. I think the fasted I ever got a laptop was in 3 days and that was to a deployed location.

 

Woot, just got mine!

I called yesterday and they said my comp just reached the build stage on 6/10/11, however, checked the system today and it was on a fedex truck, and now sitting on my dining room table.

4.5 more hours until I get off work, this is excruciating!

 

geez talk about fast...

 

I feel like I've been in production forever. Everyone of my accessories has arrived, including the Vizio WirelessHD kit and I'm still waiting on my M18X =(

 

So immediately after they extend my EDD to July 22, it's shipped.

They called me today, saying the thing is almost done and should ship by this week. Hopefully this means the transmitter arrived

 

did you get the WiHD internal transmitter? also, when did you order?

 

Dell also called me today stating that my laptop is finally finished and it will ship in a few days. The rep also said that she is trying to give me compensation from their finance dept. Is my wait finally over?

 

I hope this means the got those internal wirelessHD transmitters in! I cant wait much longer

At least your Dell guys are getting back to you. Mine said he would check on my order's status after I sent him a "dude, where's my laptop?" email but I haven't heard a peep in over a day (I even sent a polite, "soooo...?" email but nothing).

 

You guys have any clue, why at dell.ca when you choose either sli/cf to the config of M18x it adds extra 50$ to the final price tag? Just can't figure out why? May be it switches from 240W PSU to 330W...

Well if I did mine right, FedEx says I should have it... on 16 June. Which is today. Which is impossible because it's already after their delivery time for my area.

They obviously need to update it but good to know there's finally some movement after nearly 2 months of waiting.


EDIT: It's coming... TOMORROW!!!!! SSD ordering/Party time!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!

My order date is 5/26.. im still In Production with no Alt Ref Tracking number active yet =( I Did order the Interal WiHD Transmitter in my m18x

 

Yeah, I ordered with it too...5/31 here. Grumble.

 

the red base is still on BO, WiHD cards are in though so some will see theirs coming in the following days.

It seems kind of meh. I assume you'll be upgrading the hard drive(s) and RAM when you get it?

Mine is on a Purolator truck, and the ONE time I want them to be here early (they usually come around 10am), they're taking their sweet time.

 

Yea , I don't feel getting ram & hdd from dell its kinda over price.

 

For those having theirs delivered via UPS, they have had their shipments stopped in the UK possibly EU as well due to people who haven't got anything better to do digging up the old printer cartridge bomb scare story again.

If you didn't get the subtle hint. Mine is stuck on an aircraft that is now banned from entering the UK for god knows how long. ******* great.
