*M18x R1* Full Potiental Has Been Unlocked In Modded Bios

Wasn't the A05 BIOS released to resolve a number of issues such as the 7990's overheating? How are people with the A03 unlocked BIOS dealing with the problems associated natively by the A03 BIOS, or has an A05 unlocked BIOS been released so far?

I'm a new R1 user and I was thinking I would like to get 1866 ram, use an unlocked BIOS to tweak out a bit more performance, etc but would rather not burn out my video cards in the process =)

I remember the 6990m Fan issues before Dell released the A05 Bios, im thinking of using this though to overclock a little bit, if i roll back to A03 do the fan issues come back up or is this still a safe flash for the r1

No need to use A03 unlocked and risk overheating problems with 6990M CF. Just use A05 unlocked and you'll be in good shape.

 

Eh 5 post rule to DL anything, i was hoping to do this tonight, any idea if there is another A05 version out there or perhaps a diff place to DL it?

There is the option of paying a $5 fee for Elite membership to bypass the 5 post minimum, which is a really small price to pay for the privilege of gaining immediate access.
