Nah, we be "sifting" through your tons of good info, but some times a bit over whelming. :D

Nope, your goal is to break 32k cpu score...be it at 5.0/4.9/4.8. :)

Although 4.887 ghz is good for 32.7k cpu score.

oh which infos lol, those of mine their just ramblings from a mad man :p

wow 4.887 for 32.7k thats great to know omg

Thats on stock clocks vantage on gpu or with gpus at max benched :) ?

I noticed vantage in cpu and gpu if you had gpu or cpu overclocked hogh but one or other subscores were lower than when both were overclcoked so some of my past benches i got higher cpu and gpu subscores when i cpu and gpu overclocked ... higher subscores than when only one component was overclocked. This a normal phenomenon for that sorta boost when both push harder?

Anything having to do with the 2920xm/2960xm. i don't have amd anymore, but Im sure others have found your teachings and leanings very helpful.

gpus were sitting at bios over clock of 800L/900, but doable on stock gpus.

You can do all of that now while waiting. The gpu is easy, but you know this already. Start hacking down some of your single gpu runs now.

so you recomend me to disable SLI and and bench vantage up clocks till i see some sort of ceiling then drop clocks a little enable SLI rebench and slowly raise clocks again a little more to find their ranges just like i might on cpu? I want to see you run a 900mhz core on yours in 3dmark11 would be epic your 10mhz away :)

So the replacement was refurb and it came somehow with 6990m pair which partlist for that unit was 580m so I called in and already got next day install of the 580m couple day ago... These boards are still new boards, but they just have issues. That's what we were told on our conversation with Louis about the 580m's. They mark them refurb, because they have to open and inspect them when they come fro China I think is what he said. Not sure, but would have to search.

cool info so should be pretty dependable motherboard coming :)
The unit is a little dinged up so i think it really came from someone.but its got brand new GPU's and a low volt 2960xm :)

About start parts replacement on mine! The motherboard they have sent is a refurbished one as as I can tell. Has refurbished on the Side of box and the static bag. There is a small bit of masking tap on the bottom of the optical port so maybe this board had a faulty sound/optical jack prob before? will test to see if this fixes my sata3/6 port issue and also that there is no other issues with ports etc!

Yikes, Dan. The masking tape has me worried. Maybe you got the defective mobo out of scook9's M18x. (Just kidding.) Keep us posted. I hope everything turns out perfect with the mobo.

All parts are installed the motherboard is actually a newer H2 revision and on closer inspection looks brand new. Machine is up and running and temps are looking good @4.2ghz. As We all expected the DPC issue is still there and swapping the killerN card, motherboard does not fix issue as we all kknow it's drivers. I will upload some pics of the two heatsinks etc on the overclocking 2960xm thread tomorrow. At least it booted up first try lol

Boy, you're not kidding on that one. I would love doing that if I could make as much or more money as I do in my current career. If I didn't have a 25 year head start in a different direction, I'd jump on it. Guys like us would be HUGELY successful doing that. I used to have a side business doing tech work and made a very nice supplemental income, but I travel too much for that now.

well thats awesome i have been doing much the same doing any sorta tech work i could find on an unofficial capacity for the past 8 years or so been at it making money on side since i was 17 or so... Before that i didnt work on others but did service my family and friends pc before that. Ive got no career so i might as well jump on it and start being a tech. No idea where to start but id love to.
I hope this motherboard proves to be nice... Was i correct that HWiNFO will show the Sata 3 for port 1 and 0? I dont understand is there a lot of Sata 6g bps issues on motherboards?
other than a connection problem is there anything else that could cause bluetooth to not register... It is enabled in bios and wireless button on.
so John are you on stock gpu thermal pads or are you using paste? Plus stock gpu paste or are you using your own?
John not sure if you saw above post but lol one of use will have to get a better wprime 32m score i posted my 4.8seconds above lol i thought it was funny i ended up with exact same score lol... we are tied until you pull ahead again ;)

Edit: i see you posted my score thanks John must of been up even before this post ;) your quick :)
Time to do some Vantage after i check my ram slots and fix the bluetooth connection

Oh, you definitely can. It takes time to built up clientele, but good help that is reasonably priced is hard to find. I was doing PC repair, custom builds, maintenance and network administration for individuals and small businesses on nights and weekend before I started traveling all the time. I was earning up to about $2,500/month nights and weekends without even trying hard... just word of mouth referrals. Go for it, bro. You can do it.

Yes, I quit using SpeedFan a couple of years ago because of DPC issues. HWiNFO64 doesn't cause those problems. In fact, I had HWiNFO64 running most of the time I was testing for DPC latency.

Be sure to let AW-FedericoH know about that if you haven't already done so. He likes to know about service failures like that so he can at least try to help prevent them for future customers. I'm glad they're taking care of it. They always do, but sometimes it's a long way from "Next Business Day" LOL. Two months is even longer that I waited for replacement AMD parts before they sent me my current M18x.

Its due to overclocking 2930/60xm CPU's also pushing our GPUs. Also some using Air-conditioners to keep them cool at these high numbers lol with a 2670qm those are descent scores i would say. you could try pushing up your BLCK & Overclocking your GPUs.

for that RAID screen In Bios turn off RAID and switch to AHCI

You don't want to switch to AHCI if you can avoid it. As a general rule, the system will work better with the BIOS set to RAID even if your drives are not set up as RAID. Some people find that screen irritating. You can later buy another matching SSD and create a RAID0 arrangement while running Intel Rapid Store Technology within Windows unless you install Windows with the BIOS set to AHCI; in which case you will have to start over with a clean install to create the RAID.

Those are actually pretty decent numbers, Brother Rain. For help pushing your non-XM CPU, take a look at this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/ali...bborn-gpu-throttling-also-cpu-throttling.html. You will need to use an unlocked BIOS to get access to set pri plane at 8191 and some of the other screen shots that I posted with my 2760QM CPU. You should be able to get benchmarks similar to these numbers: LINK (my scores with 2760QM).

That is actually really insightful MrFox had not thought of it like that. In regards to running one SSD and having on RAID does TRIM support work now? thinking of buy two new SSD's to put in RAID0.

Yes, the trim support works fine with the BIOS set to RAID.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing, and moving the BD burner to an external eSATA enclosure, so I can use my 750GB data drive in the optical bay. I think I saw a post that John just set his up like that. DR650SE has been running his R2 that way for a long time now. I have been procrastinating a long time. Just don't want to spend any more money, LOL. I am a cheapskate.

Sweet!!! I am jealous about that. Having 2 M4 256GB SSD in RAID0 would be too awesome for words.

To clarify a point I made in the earlier post, TRIM support works fine with the BIOS set to RAID. When you actually create an SSD RAID0 array, I am not so sure that TRIM supports a RAID0 SSD array... it might, but I have no way of confirming that it does/does not. The next version of Intel RST is going to support that. You will need to find out from Johnksss or Steviejones133, or another person with SSD RAID0 set up, if they have trim working.

It might show it in one of the SSD diagnostic programs or in the Intel RST utility. (Same place where RST identifies the drive is running at 6GB/s in SATA-III.)

Edit: See attached thumbnail. What I am not sure about is whether the indicator only means the drive supports TRIM (which we already know to be true) or that TRIM is active and functional in a RAID0 array when that feature is listed.
