    Interesting. Link to that bios?

Looks like the short turbo limit is the main thing, along with the current limiting

I should be able to release a version of unlocked BIOS soon with limits lifted in the BIOS, so you don't have to do a manual hex edit anymore.. estimate a few days, optimistically :)

Speedy, with thanks to john. Make sure you are using the latest beta, and don't use manual control. Use auto custom profile, and make sure when the sensor screen comes up you disable Compal EC ... just right click it and disable monitoring.

Hwinfo will no longer lock up your system...

Ok so a couple runs on Vantage tonight, gottu say, disappointing, maybe Speedy and JohnK are right and I shuld just put a 2920 in ... but I really don't want to :p

I can get near 24K total score and 25902 GPU score, but thats OCing the CPU to 3005Mhz ... like pimped for a 2630 I guess. But still no where near the power of the 2920 ... or even 2820.

    18950 CPU
    25902 GPU
    23726 Over all
    AMD Radeon HD 6970M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-2630QM Processor,Alienware M18xR1 score: P23726 3DMarks

    18869 CPU
    25903 GPU
    23695 Overall
    AMD Radeon HD 6970M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-2630QM Processor,Alienware M18xR1 score: P23695 3DMarks

And, I am tired. You CPU junkies :p

    have a good night all.

    Oh those are @ 870/1200

indeed indeed. Alright boys I am going to disappear from benching for a while, I have a serious work load for the next couple weeks and then I am getting Married ! lol. BUT I will still be aroudn the forums and such and checking up here, but I don't think I will have the time to commit to running more benches, even though I want to :p

Unless someone breaks my 9013 gpu in mark11 ... then I might be forced back into action. LOL.

ill run dice again later, because it gave me the 29.5k gpu with the same exact clocks i have now. 880/1200

you would have time to run it if your laptop is taken apart already...just get 5 pounds is all. that will last you like 6 hours with just setting it on the heat sinks.

LOL.. it's way too hot here and air conditioning is too expensive for me to play.. i'm just happy that I was able to up the thermal, and current limits so my 2920xm can run at it's potential without thermal protection shutting my laptop off abruptly :) So what if it's going to melt.. :p

But I love seeing the ridonkulous high scores you guys are churning out, bring it :)
