I am using the latest NV WHQL drivers. As we know EVGA Precision X is one of the triggers that causing EDID corruption.
If you do not use and did not used Precision X - you can try your luck. Here are some users who had the problem without this software.

We know for sure: Precission X + Windows 10 or earlear versions of Windows with latest updates (Win10 ready) + latest Nvidia drivers = 100% bricked display sooner or later.
But because of few users in this forum who bricked display without Precision X, we do not know what else can trigger that.
So, I think I am a lucky, because my display is alive from Windows 10 release day. :)

so i got windows 10 fresh installed on my m18x r2 and its running great...until i try to play a game.. it doesnt matter what game i get low CPU usage and it causes fps dips.. my cpu usage never goes above 25% usually sints around 10-15% in wondows 7 i get 25-50% cpu usage in games and everything runs smooth 60 fps with no issues except Battleborn which is pretty crappy port anyway.

my spcs are in the signature and im suing the 365.10 driver ive tried the newest nvidia driver but found this one to work the best for most games that i play. anyone have any ideas on what could be causing the issues

Has the display dying issue upon Win10 upgrade been resolved yet? I'm curious to try Win10 as I think my Win7 install has some issues after cloning over the OS to a different SSD. Rather than reinstalling Win7 I'm curious to try Win10, if only for the faster boot time (boot time is so slow on the R2 even with SSD).

the display edid corruption was not a fault of windows 10 its a fault of evga's precision X software... it hapened to me on windows 7. its all in that program just use msi afterburnr and you will be good i have winows 7 and windows 10 on their own drives and they both run great. however gaming on windows 10 is not as good as windows 7 for me im still researching into why but i get bad fps dips in games that run perfectly in windows 7

I seem to have everything working great, all except Alienware OSD....The only key that isn't working atm is the F11 for turning T-Pad On/Off. Is there any solution to this issue? I've tried installing in other compatibility modes with no luck.

I don't have a nVidia GTX 770m, but when I used Windows 10 Pro with my Alienware 18 GTX 880m SLI (I am on Windows 8.1 Pro now) I used the following Dell/Alienware drivers

    VERSION 327.70 (A01) Feb 2015 or earlier
    Video_Driver_7HKTK_WIN_9.18.13.3270_A01_64.EXE
(Windows 8.1, but installed on Insiders preview builds of Win10 prior to release)

    VERSION 353.54 (A00) Jul 30 2015
    Video_Driver_VJW59_WN32_10.18.13.5354_A00.EXE
    (Windows 10 driver)

So you might try an older driver, like the ones above. You might still be able to get these from the Dell Alienware support site.

    I have a 880M GPU.
I installed W10, and i'm facing some strange bugs, all the window I open are blank...
I don't know if it's the GPU or what, I don't have installed the driver, but it's hard with this bug
and can't use the Intel GPU too

Ive had bugs with my own windows 10 install on thr m18xr2 ever since release in one form or another. Would sometimes startup with being unable to open the start menu or unable to access the wireless networks window or action center. No idea what causes it and with no idea how it broke to begin with in the end it would take either windows restore if it still worked or having to restore the OS from a backup image to fix. No issues of a similar kind with winddows 7 it seems to work perfectly without issue on that OS.

Yes I am running it fine.

Just don't install EVGA PrecisionX, use MSI Afterburner instead.

I'm currently running 8.1 and intend to do a clean install of 10. Do I use the same 8.1 drivers that I'm using now?

I'm still using nVidia 331 graphics from the Dell website for my 680M . No mention of Precision X so are they ok to install?

You can use the 8.1 drivers or just let windows 10 auto-install most of them using the internet. Then get the rest yourself.

For nVidia drivers I recommend getting the latest from the nvidia site.
