These drivers are for Alienware Area 51 M15X (R1) Pre-dell machine
Running on Windows 7 x64 & Vista x64
Note: The ATI driver within the attachment has a more up to date Driver on Global Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD Version 13.1, if you have this version there is no need to install.
Note 2#: The instructions on order load within the attachment.
I made this forum for those who need these drivers as when i needed them it took me weeks to find.
I hope this becomes useful for everyone.
P.S for drivers needed for anything else such as CPU, graphics cards and anything else you may find them on there manufacturers website.
Issues with seeing the Based systems within device manager these drivers contain the needed drivers, as this was my issue after i did a fresh reinstall of windows 7.
For those wondering why all these drivers named Vista x64 do not worry, windows 7 is very much based Vista so these drivers WILL work with windows 7 x64 as my OS is windows 7 x64.
Note#3: none of these drivers will work on x32, if you wish me to find x32 drivers please do not be afraid to ask, i will try my best to assist you.
Note#4: I am not a computer expert, enough researching online can help go along way.

Good to have two mirrors though in case there is ever a problem with one package. -
good to know we both using dropboxinstead of some stupid site that has tonnes of adverts and surveys and what not.
only thing i have a problem with on my laptop is alien fusion on command center. i try open it and it crashes, also my T9300 cpu is locked onto x4 multiplier, so im having to use Throttlestop to get what i should be, plus even more such as OC to 2.7Ghz. any help? -
Also try my chipset / system drivers, I don't think I have problems with a locked multiplier. -
could you try find x32 for me, i think i've found the majority of them i'm running vista on a fresh install as whoever put windows 7 messed it up so just did a fresh instal of vista x32 still not a bad machine once sort of up and running
also im missing 2 base system devices and its annoying me as to which 2 are missing, i'm pretty new to this last time i touched a laptop properly was over 11 years ago so i'm learning again

You can do this in Device Manager, right click the device > Properties > Details tab > choose Hardware IDs in the dropdown list.
Also you can install the 64bit version of the OS and use the same licence. -

these are the ones that are missing and the only problem i have is that i cant use the license key as ive used it on another laptop so i need to get hold of another key
seems to be working alright for now goes a little slow or freezes for a couple of seconds now and again but seems fine apart from these 2 missing devices
thanks for help also, much appriciated.
realised posted wrong here are ids

You could also download and use a small, free, spyware free program called "unknown devices". It has not been updated since 07 but since your laptop hardware is from 08 it will probably work fine.

Lastly, you installed Win Vista 64 & 32 on two separate machines using the same key from the bottom of your alienware? If so I feel like you would have issues down the road when activating during a re-install of the OS. I may be wrong but I thought the license agreement was 64 OR 32 with the same key on ONE machine... again don't quote me though. -
hope that made sense lol

Hi ya,
just installed the drivers after an install of 7 64, and apart from a missing drive all was going well...
...until I installed the latest command center. It asked to do a firmware update, and since then my keyboard fails to light up.
It asked a question on what model I had when I did the upgrade, and I assumed I had got it right, but obviously I didn't.
Any idea how I can downgrade the firmware and then upgrade it again. I ideally I need an earlier version of the software, but trying to find it it rather hard.
Oh, and TOP, TOP job on getting those ZIP files online with all of the drivers. Many thanks.
cheers -

You keyboard lights fails after the firmware update or the command center? Did you try uninstalling command center?

I have the original Ripley m15x (r1) driver disk image if you want a copy
