Hey guys dont know if im late here but was wondering if there was an unlocked or modded version of the 36 or any moddd bios for the m15x ?

I heard a guy named AHMED HOSSAM was working on it and was nearly complete but sadly no one saw him ever again  Source

All google searches take me to the DELL M15X unlocked bios :(

Just out of curiosity why do you need an unlocked bios?

So we can disable the integrated card and use a better driver for the Geforce 8800m GTX than 186.91

Edit : I flashed my 8800m GTX with a 9800M GT and surprisingly had slight performance boost. Still i want to use a better driver then 186.91 both 8800m GTX and 9800m GT use the same drivers apparently

You could switch to an AMD/ATI card and avoid these outdated drivers. A 4850/4870 would be great if you could find one. If not a 3870 should be ok.

Will this fix his issue? From what i've read newer drivers will install however will cause a BSOD because of a conflict with the integrated intel video card. That's why the version mentioned above was the last know good working version for these laptops & nvidia cards.

I have 9800GTX with original NVidia BIOS and it is actually a pain in the arss because Windows Update recognizes the card and always tries to install latest NVidia drivers. Of course, card won't load drivers and I'll have error Code 43.

Btw, latest official driver for m15x from NVidia is 186.81, which comes with PhysX and working powermizer. The 186.91 I think is Microsoft version, but powermizer is not working. At least I couldn't make it work.
