I been siting on a older m15x for some time now
the gpu (9800gt) has been dead for a long time now
I want to get it up and running again

will a mxm 2 Quadro FX 1500M or fx570m work
I know this card is on par with the nvidia 79xx ( I think is has the same gpu)
it will do every thing I need it to
will this gpu work in the system
I don't care about what it can do or not do or if it works in windows (i use linux)
I just need to know if that card will work hardware wise

    this is the card

I can get it for 40$ so I'm not out a lot

The card in the pic looks like the FX1500m from an HP NX9440W, which looks like MXM but isn't, make sure that the card is regular standard MXM (so avoid if it did come from that laptop) but otherwise, yeah the M15x can use just about any MXM card as long as you can adapt the heatsink for it, I had a 9500m-GS in mine for a short while.

and it dose not work

well I only spent 27$ on it

what would be a good card for that would work
under 70$ and will not burn up the lappy like my 9800 and 8800 did

You have a M15x R1 right? Instead of putting in a worse card than your original 9800GT, couldn't you just switch to the internal Intel graphics card?
