Hello everyone! Thank you for reading my thread!

A friend gave me an Alienware D9T Laptop that he said the video card went out on. Apparently he took it to a computer repair place and they said the video card was out and would cost him $500.00 to get it fixed. He gave it to me and bought a new machine. Anyway, he said it seems to boot up just fine but of course you can't see anything. From what I found online the Nvidia GeForce 6800 Ultra 256MB or the 7800 Ultra 256MB should work. I don't physically have the machine yet to take it apart and look. The 6800 is here and the 7800 is here

Can anyone please tell me if you think this IS the right card for this computer and if it's worth fixing at all? I just want it to watch streaming video, basic internet/email and the occasional paper I may have to write. No heavy gaming if any gaming at all. Thanks a lot for your help guys! I am new to Alienware systems so I'm learning them. Oh, also did the D9T have WiFi? It's hard to find any specs on the machine. I realize it is an old model. :)
