It seems when I'm running programs, it doesn't seem to matter which ones, I have random CPU spikes that give me less FPS during games and lag my system when running CPU intensive webpages like flash or streaming video, especially full screen. I've tried to scan my task manager trying to spot the culprit but I couldn't find anything other than svchost being dumb as usual and I even stopped some of the unnecessary things running in that but they still occur..not to mention I've reinstalled Windows 7 too so I wouldn't believe I have a virus or anything.

Could it still be somethings in my windows.old folder?

Did my CPU overheat before now it's easily overheating more often?

Is it more processes in SVCHost?

    Any suggestions?

Also here are some specs of my computer:

    Display: 15.4" WideUXGA 1920 x 1200 LCD (1200p)
    Video/Graphics Card: 512MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8700M GT
    Processor: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T9300 2.5GHz (6MB Cache 800MHz FSB)
    Memory: 4GB Dual Channel DDR2 SO-DIMM at 667MHz – 2 x 2048MB
    System Drive: 400GB 5,400RPM (8MB Cache)
    Optical Drives : 8x Dual Layer Burner (DVD±RW, CD-RW)
    Wireless: Internal Intel® Wireless 4965 a/b/g/Draft-N Mini-Card

Also my computer originally had Windows Vista but I upgraded to Windows 7 and applied all the necessary driver and systems downloads needed from the support pages and myHive.
