Anyone still using these "beasts" haha?

I still use my m5750 on a daily basis and was curious if anyone else still uses theirs? Bought in 2006, this used to be my primary gaming machine. I have since built a desktop, however it still gets gaming use when I don't feel like lugging my desktop over a friend's house for some multiplayer. It still handles Portal 2, L4D2, & Unreal Tournament 3 on med/high at 60fps. In it is the original T7400 2.16GHz Core 2 Duo, a 256GB OCZ Agility 2 SSD, and an upgraded 1GB Radeon HD 4650 from "mxmupgrade" which runs circles around the stock x1800 it came with. The only issue I have had with the now 5-year old laptop is a small section of dead pixels back in late 2009. Back then though, Alienware used ebay for discontinued and overstocked items and I was able to nab a new original 1920 by 1200 screen for under $100 which was swapped in under an hour.

Hoping to hear some other stories of these still in use or interesting upgrades!

Dang! You are making that machine last! I did prefer the lid styling on those models, they are what I think of when somebody says Alienware.

Good job on maintaining the machine!

Oh and prob should have mentioned, my gpu is overclocked!!
    Stock clocks - 600/500
My clocks - 766/650 still at stock voltage. Thing I love about this notebook most is the MXM III cooler, MXM II cards can overclock really well, because the cooler disipates much more heat than the coolers in MXM II machines xD

Nice! I have heard of people getting a HD4850 / HD4870 into these machines as well. I guess there is a rare MXM Type III version in the wild. I would be interested in tracking one down to try in my machine. I imagine it would be a lot better than my HD4650, though it performs well for what it is. Using stock clocks though my HD4650 does get hot but never overheated.
