So I need to replace the entire lid of my laptop. As in the entire top half. Can anyone help me find a way to do this? I would call alienware support but my warranty is expired and they don't even have my screen in stalk.

    Can anyone help?

eBay is the best place to buy one, i'm sure i've seen several on there recently. Fitting it should be a simple case of just detaching the cables and unscrewing the hinges from the base of the laptop to detach it completely. You then just unscrew the screws holding the lid together remove the front unscrew the lcd move the lcd over and screw it all back in.

This is a link to a lid replacement I found on ebay. Can anyone look this over a make sure this is what I need to replace my lid if the one of the hinges is completely busted (to the point where it wont hold the screws that connect it to the body) ??

    Picture upon request

Yep that'll replace everything on the lid bar the lcd pretty much :)
You might want to do the epoxy fix on the new one you get as the design is inherently faulty and weak. The post is someone on these forums!

Yeah check the Epoxy fix, Me and another guy did ours at the same time, and somewhat built a guide, search for hinge repair, unless you already found it. Here's the post:
