I was having some issues with my M7700a (Clevo D900K)'s keyboard and was after reading some threads, I followed some advice from Gophn who said the system could be upgraded to KBC 1.00.05. ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienware/303161-m7700-aurora-amd-d900k.html)
Before running the flashing procidure, I was warned that the project name was "D900K" and my system was a "D900KA", but I read somewhere that these error's were nothing to worry about. After flashing this to my system, the system lights changed position, and the fans didn't stop running after powering the system off. (meaning I had to pull the plug). Upon reboot, the system reported to be using 1.00.05, but the keyboard was totally dead.
I was able to download 1.00.03 from the Alienware site (after some creative hacking), but this has not corrected the issue. I believe the GP part on the end of the original version was important.
I am unable to find a copy of the GP firmware anywhere, or even find a support page on the Alienware site where I could even ask.
As I literally just swapped the motherboard in this machine about a month ago, I'm reluctant to shell out even more money for yet another motherboard (they aren't the easiest thing to find!)
I'm hoping someone out there has a copy of the required firmware. Cheers
Aurora M7700a KBC (1.00.03GP) required
