    Hello expert techies!! :)

I have an Alienware D90T that is not booting up. When the power is turned on the screen remains black as if not even turning on (not back lit or anything). The laptop makes no sounds as if it were booting except checking the CD drive to see is there's a disk. I hear not fans or the HDD being read. I thought it was the video card so I replaced that and it didn't fix the problem. I'm not that good with computers and this is my first Alienware machine. It was given to me in this condition so I don't know what lead up to its current state. Can anyone out there give me some tips or ideas on what could be wrong? I have a friend who really needs a computer and this would be great for him. Thank you all so much for your time!
