if dell is watching then maybe they should hope in. i don't want this thread to get closed that is why i haven't said anything. but they should help trouble. at least act like a normal person and make a new account and see what they can come up with. i am not going to say any more because i like how this thread has grown and the amount of people that is putting in an afford to solve this problem.

but hellcry the is understandable. we will wait for your drivers.

halogod since you say it is a voltage problem. can try the alienware bios and the others that you have and tell us if there is an improvement. and did you run farcry2 yet?

u have to use a pad on the memory banks otherwise there will be a gap between the heatsink and the memory banks if u use paste....i tried it paste on the gpu memory and there was a gap.....

zfactor what else needs a pad...does the chipset also?

what if you bridged the GPU heat sinks to the cpu heat sink..... like run from the copper pipe to the cpu heat sink...

or split the gpu heat sinks and squeeze in some fans

    sorry i thread jacked

i ment for better heat management

yeah i think you need to get a pad asap. it should come off and it shouldn't be holding on nothing. can you post your temps. also can you run something to see how hot it gets.

i am not seeing good reviews on it. but i am still searching. i only read 3.

ok..but yeah even with a pad...its bad that the little flat surface on the heatsink for the chipset barely covers the entire chipset die.....im going to run 3dmark06 and post max temps on everything

yeah that's not even prime. what clock are you?

can you run stock at 2.53ghz and tell us your settings. i recommend applying paste on your cpu again. what is your room temp right now is it burning hot?

do you have any paste with you right now. just put a dot on the cpu die and spread it. it doesn't need a lot it will leak out on the mobo if there is to much added.

    what is your idle?

Good mornin guys.. My max nb temp is 82C.. As i see it your nb temps depends on your cpu temps.. the cpu actually heats the nb so i cant wait to get that heatsink to make my mod..
And HaloGod - buy arctic cooling mx-2 i highly recommend it.. as for the thermal pads i dont have any recommendations.. and i use thermal paste on my northbridge and its covered fully by the heatsink.
Will be back when i get the drivers uploaded.

no don't get as5 for the gpu. sorry if i am confusing you.
get mx2 for the gpu's and
    as5 for the cpu
as5 has silver in it so it can short out the gpu if it is placed on the wrong stop and the pad that i show you first is the best it starts with a s

3dmark06 is confusing. so if i freeze myself with an aircondition and take off my back. and overclock my gpus and cpus then driver tweak it. i can break records?
