I saw the M17x released Win 7 command center, so I decided to take a look, and sure enough, there is a new Windows 7 Command Center for the M17 in MyHive as well (v1.0.41).
LINK
There is also a Cyberlink PowerDVD Windows 7 patch in MyHive.

And here's the Win7 Touchpad Driver for the M17 too.

Marvie, am I assuming correctly that those of us who dont have access to the "my hive" section of the alienware site can still get the same updates from the dell drivers section?
-
Alienware MyHive is for M17, Area-51 m17x, Area-51 m15x, M9750 and lower.
M15x, and M17x are Dell products so you can get the updates from Dell. -
Thanks for the clarification!

for the M17x, just use the PowerDVD that came with the machine and update it (the program will guide you)
the Command Center (A03 version) is up for the M17x as well -
juste when i lose the user name i used for my hive -.- is there a way to recover it?
-
I just put a link, try that.
-
thanks it worked
-
Good job Marvie.
I also made a new thread for m15x Windows 7 drivers...
-
Hi
What do I get over the Windows 7 on? (I hope you can understand me
)
Greetings
Julian -
I have no idea what they changed from the Vista version, I just posted all the Windows 7 links I saw in MyHive.
-
yeah thanks Marvie......especially as myhive on the UK site does not have the new drivers yet.
cheers. -
I tried Power DVD Patch and it says I need a retail version of Power DVD. Anyone else got same problem?
-
yes,you must have the retail version, alienware gave you when you bought your system from them,if you don't have it,same as my case, which i think they forgot to included one,
-
they are both availible on the my hive of your system so you can install it then patch it
-
no granyte,i looked ,and talk about it on the phone with the tech support, and he made the alien connect thing,so he can look at my system and etc,and finally gave up and send me the link for download the power dvd 6 which isn't what installed in my system, since i received power dvd 8 on the first place

Maybe someone can just host PowerDVD8 for you from their resource disk. It should not have anyway to distinguish between what system it is loaded on and since it is pre-activated should work.
-
just give me a second i'll post a link in a sec
http://support.alienware.com/Support_Pages/Restricted_Downloads/PowerDVD_8.0.2217.50.zip
you might have to login into my hive to get the link to work
