I have an m15x, not an M15x. Just to get that straightened out.

Bare with me guys, these are hard problems to explain...

I have no idea how long this has been going on, but I thought it would be neat to have the keyboard change colors while I was using this program, and so I changed the settings to do so, and after a while I thought it was kinda ridiculous because it distracted me a bit, so I changed back to basic lighting with just 1 solid color for everything, and this problem started up. After having my computer sleep or something and then waking it up, my keyboard would be the color it was when the program is running, and it would change back and forth until Alienfx was reset (turned off then back on or going dark then back on). Strange... I know. I don't know how to reset the colors so it doesn't do this, but it is very annoying. It's not a problem that detracts from the gaming experience or anything, just slightly annoying that I have to turn it on and off every time I turn on my computer.

Next problem, I have no idea how it happened, but I noticed one day that my power button was... well, turning on and off. While it's on, the light pipe is off and the alien head is on. And also while it's on, it kind of flashes at a set tempo, but not because of the computer thinking or anything, it's like the whole light is blinking, not just the eyes. And when the power button is off, the light pipe is on and it blinks at the same tempo as the power button. And they trade off. Thing is, the alien head doesn't flash, it just turns on at the same time the power button turns on and then turns off when the light pipe turns on. I have absolutely NO IDEA how to fix this and it's hard to find someone with the same problem who has fixed it.

Obviously, I have reinstalled command center and OSD and whatever in the orders that they are supposed to be installed, but nothing seems to be working. If you have any questions, please ask them, as I said above, these are kind of confusing things to describe... maybe I'll make a short video of the problem and see if that helps describe the problem.

Thanks in advance! And please help!

EDIT: >.< Sorry, I didn't remember about the Alienfx thread... I even read that one for information on this and couldn't find anything, though I was mostly skimming because it's a long thread. :p I apologize deeply and still hope someone out there has a solution for me! :D

No worries - the challenge here is that you have a legacy system. Not many of the current AW folks are familiar with it - including myself. :(

Hopefully, someone here in the legacy sub-forum will have an answer/suggestion for you.

Wow, took me a while to get back to this thread, and sorry for reviving it. (been very busy with tests and whatnot... -.-')

Thank you for finding a solution, I will try it as now I'm in winter break and have time. It still might take a little time as I'm still not good with installing and stuff because I am a terrible worry worm. Can't help it, I worry about stuff I spent a lot of money on.

I have also been researching more about the blinking alien head and haven't found anything. If I, for some reason, find a fix and know exactly how I did it I will definitely post it.

Once again, thank you very much! I will report back after doing this to tell you guys that it worked (am I being too optimistic?).
