    OMG! I have literally two fans under and next to my laptop! I keep trying to install Windows XP and it'll shut off half way down the installment. I have the power cable plugged in and it wont work!

    It's a Alienware M9700 Series.

    PLEASE Help! Thank you.

    Did you try cleaning the dust out of the heatsink/fan of the notebook?
    Did you try changing the thermal paste?
    Are the internal fans working?
