New Alienware Member needing some help

Hello everyone I bought an Alienware Area 51 m15x r1 from a guy on craigslist who didnt live very far from me for $475. online he said it was the i7 4gig ram blah blah blah i found out different. anyway he did not have the windows cd nor did he have the resorces cd or manuel. It does have windows 7 installed.
When I got it I tryed to get him to show me how to work the lights like I saw the ones light up on youtube before he came with the pc. he kept avoiding the command center and told me to do it later as I will spend an hour setting it all up.
After trying to cut the lights on for an hour or so I found out they did not work.
I took the battery out ,unpluged the charger then held the power button for 20 seconds to drain the motherboard power. Restarted the computer and got happy as all get out when the lights came on. He told me it was 8gig memory. it was only 2 gig so i ran a crucal scan and found out it will only hold 4 gig total.So I upgraded it due to the system using 96% of my ram after 30minutes of runtime. Then ran into another problem. This thing felt like the flip screen was about to fall off on the left side. I ended up taking the moniter apart and found the plastic housings on the left hinge was all cracked into little parts. I got some JB weld and build a new frame for the mount bolts with it.It works better than new now. My only problem now is In my Command Center. I have 4 tabs in there. one is FX and works fine. next is AlienFusion I have no idea what it is because everytime i try to open it, it will freeze and never open up. Next is alien sence it works but when i log on it will freeze sometimes. last is alientouch im not sure what it does either, It does the same thing alienfusion does it will freeze when I open it. I would love to hear any an all ideas.

 

Well, the only thing I can tell you is that if you have windows 7 64 bit or 32 bit, AlienFusion does NOT work. In other words, with Windows 7 in general, AlienFusion is not compatible.

I have an Area-51 m15x and Windows 7 Profesisonal 32 Bit is installed on it. Touch works fine IF you have the drivers installed for it. That is all I can say.

 

yep, on mine I've had to disable the alienfusion service otherwise I get 100% cpu usage and it still doesn't do anything.
I found that fan noise went right down after it was gone though.
