*OFFICIAL* Area-51/Aurora Owner's Benchmark Thread

Welcome to the Alienware Area-51 Owner’s Benchmark thread here on NBR. During our recent poll, there were a few who requested a dedicated thread for the Area-51 systems. So, here we are. If any of you are interested in maintaining a score list, post in the thread and PM me. I'll link to it here in this first post.

There are several apps which can be used to benchmark your system. Following is a short list of some which are typically used. There are others and the core benchmarking members will have plenty of suggestions - so ask away.

A word of caution concerning benchmarking... While benchmarking / number chasing can be quite a bit of fun, please be aware that benchmarking your system is pushing your system to its limits. It can and will stress your components. Do so at your own risk - nobody is responsible for this but you.

Finally, as with all threads here on NBR, please remember the forum rules when posting. Also please note, any images posted which cause page scrolling will be removed. Repeat offenders will receive infractions. There is no reason you cannot take a moment to resize or use thumbnail previews. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation with this.

cha and Wardoink, which drivers are you guys using for the gpu?

 

I've been using 186.82 for the longest time now. Gives me the same performance as 186.81, with proper downclocking on idle.

Thanks. I'll try 186.82. I just respawned P) so, Im on stock drivers which, surprisingly, are giving me slightly better numbers in 3DMark06.

 

Hi , I'm Ftroop
brought a Area 51M 766 Laptop computer, from a guy, never gave me the software for it did a fresh install foinally found the drivers for it, seems like everything is working but the led keyboard. Been looking on line and it seems thatt there is some software called the command control center software that operates the keyboard and some other functions been to the dell website, but they dont have anything for a legacy system. Need help.

 

It's so sad to see this thread dead... Anyway I will post my results here
