    Hello!!
    Buy an old 7700 at Ebay and Restore it.
    Buy Parts and build it up. The last Thing is the LCD.
    The Original LCD is an LP171WU1 A4 K4 with 1920x1200 Screen Size.
    This Screen has a blue line in the Middle.
    Then i buy an LP171W02 A4 K1 with 1680x1050 Screen Size

    I thought, that the new LCD are compatible? I can see the Bios Post Screen, can all do, but the Resolutin dont fit.. But why? Whats wrong?

    Must i buy a new LCD Cable? The old is fine... Build it back to the old LCD,all is fine..only this blue line in the middle..
    Hope someone can tell me so´mething i can do.... :(

    Did the 7700 ever come with a 1680x1050 resolution screen? That seems like an odd res.
