    Hello tech experts!

I'm currently assembling an M15x purely from spare parts.

I'm now at the point where I'm only missing the following:

    • DVD drive case and interposer (I have a bezel, and actually intend to - if possible - use a SATA HDD in a caddy in this bay),
    • LCD,
    • Screen brackets (I have the hinges),
    • Screen cover/lid, (I prefer the plain design as opposed to the "alien head" design),
    • Webcam,
    • Service tag sticker/plate on the bottom of the case.

I'm planning to install a Radeon Mobility HD 4850, Core 2 Quad Q9000 and 2x2GB DDR2-800. I'll also be using my Corsair Force Series 3 120GB SSD and (hopefully) my 1TB Hitachi HDD (in the ODD bay).

Is the M15x able to support WUXGA panels? If so, would one from a Dell Precision or Latitude work? I assume I would need a Dell panel... I've tried looking on eBay but the sellers only seem to be carrying LED-backlit screens of 15.6" while claiming they're for the M15x. Maybe they don't realise there was a version that came out before the R2?

If I can't get a WUXGA panel to work with it, what's the next best resolution available? I'm currently using a Studio XPS 1645 and while the R1 may seem like a downgrade, I am simply fed up with the poor graphics performance of the Mobility 4670, especially when my desktop machine's Radeon HD 5870 makes it look pathetic.

Do you have any recommendations for which WiFi and Bluetooth cards to get? I've always tended to go with Intel WiFi cards and Broadcom Bluetooth cards, but times may have changed...

I'm in the UK if that helps at all...

    Thanks!
