    I'm Looking to replace muj-220y M17 DVD drive with a blu ray burner. Will a uj-220 drive fit in an M17 or is there a specific model I should be looking at,

    i got my self a uj-240 (the tray load version) but the 220 should work

    Firstly the 220 is a tray load version.
    Secondly no the 220 wont work as it is ATA based and the m17 takes only SATA optical drives. The ATA one will *not* work period.

    what i meant is if he goes for te uj-240 to watch cause there is a tray and a slot load version and ending with a slot load on the m17 would just be lame


    ow if the 220 would not fit i'm lucky i have an atraction for biger number when i asked i got sugested the 220 or the 240 and picked the 240 simply because it's number is bigger while they costed the same price -.-

    Thanks. So I should go for a tray load SATA drive. Any suggestions of models as I dont want to order the wrong type. Cheaper the better.

    nop but it's a 7 screw job

    3 to get the drive ou 4 to get it's bracket if you really need one i can take pictures of it
