    Hey guys and gals,
I have an Alienware m9750 that I've had since July 2007 and it's been great. Haven't had any issues until now. Today there's been a vertical, blue line that seems to be one pixel wide that runs the entire length of my screen.
The line is a teal color, and I can't notice it on a white (or other light background) but it is VERY noticeable on black and other dark backgrounds.
The blue line at the beginning of the day was fading in and out of view, but now seems to be solidly visible and constant.

I've included a print screen of it in both light and dark, and was hoping you more knowledgeable forum members could lend me a hand as to what I can do.
My warranty is long overdue (as I assume it's a hardware issue), but if there is some software fix such as there are fixes for stuck pixels that would be great.

Thanks for any and all help! It's greatly appreciated... :)

UPDATE: After trying to do a couple printscreens and cropping the picture backgrounds in MS Paint I found that it is definitely NOT a software problem, and rather a hardware problem as I initially thought. When I crop the photos and move them to the part of my screen where the blue line isn't, they aren't in the croppings anymore.

I will take some pictures of the screen and upload them soon here instead :)

Hm... anyone else have an idea about this?
I'm not really resigned to just leave it be, but if I have no choice I will :(

Once this sort of thing starts it's only a matter of time until it spreads and the whole display is useless. You can pick up a replacement display fairly cheaply on ebay for the m9750.
