The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    TactX Keyboard & laptop keyboard glitch??

    Hi, Does anyone have an answer for this.....
    Have a m15x with vista 32 bit, fx keyboard and light package, bought the alienware Tactx keyboard and after installling its software, my laptop keyboard lighting is permanently shut off, no way to make a advanced theme, no options, removing tactx still leaves laptop keyboard inactive, have to sys restore and uninstall keyboard to get laptop keyboard back. I would think Alienware would have compatibility where both keyboard and laptop would work simultaneously. The Command center clearly shows the laptop keyboard unlit... can not use sync... have not found any issues with this in my searches so maybe someone has an idea.Thank you !!!
