Do you have a file called "bios.wph" on the C: drive?

The bios is not really needed anyway (if you want to overclock).
There is a really old version of intel XTU that supports this notebook. It will let you change the FSB, multiplier and ram settings.

Rename zfactors bios to "Bios.wph" and place it on the C: drive, then try it again.

I have changed the w840_029.ROM to "Bios.wph" and copied it to the c:drive. The "refresh" at the c:>prompt never seems to work, i always get the bad command or file error. then i entered "phlash16" then got the error "Cannot flash if memory managers (e.g. HIMEM) PResent.

My usb drive is F: Drive, if that matters any... uhhhhhhh soo tiring.

There is no need to use the refresh command.

I think the guide you're using isn't very good, try looking for a new one.
