    i wanted to buy an AlienFX enabled keyboard for my area 51 m17x r1, as it has the non backlit model. but when i went to checkout, it came up with a this message:
    Your connection is not private
    Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www.ztronics.com (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards).

    NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID"

    is ztronics a safe site? i really want to get the fx enabled keyboard, but that safety warning is really putting me off.

    I've ordered from them before with no issue. Perhaps call them and do a phone order if you are worried?

    Websites sometimes have problems with their certificates. Most of them are just admins that don't remember to resign SSL certificate in time and they expire giving date invalid error.

    It should be safe as they had the certificate before.

    Personally I only use SSL for bank and steam transactions. There are too many problems with that with normal usage like online shops and most of shops has 3rd party payment system that is SSL secured anyway so only the ordering process is not secured.
