    Hi everybody

    It's been a long time I have a m15x with Win7 64 and CC 20100. Everything's fine except some minor problems but don't care.

Few weeks ago, I've tried an AlienFX morphing theme using FX editor. I've create a long sequence (Red to yellow, Yellow to violet, violet to green...) I've applied it to check: very flashy, too flashy !!! Then back to my "old" fixed enhanced theme and back to job. No problem.

Unfortunately, by now, every time I boot m15x or I went out of hibernate mode, this "morphing theme" is back !!! When booting I have to wait for AlienFX to start to get my normal theme. When out from hibernate I have to switch AlienFX Off then On to get the right theme.

I've uninstalled CC and reinstalled. I've tried to create another long theme with new fixed colors. Impossible to erase this "default" morphing theme.

Any idea to fix it ???

    Thanks.

I'd probably pull the battery and do a power drain, i.e. hold power button in for about 30 seconds while battery is removed then replace battery and boot.

Can you provide more detail on what 'CC 20100' is? Command Center I understand - how about a version# or link to this CC 20100?

Also, system BIOS revision? Dell/AW M15x or Legacy m15?

Last question, are you using a third party app to edit your theme file? If so, which?

    Hi all

After too much hours spent searching, my problem is fixed !!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those interested in; pay your attention, it's very complicated !

I have removed CC2010 and clean the register.

I have installed CC1033 and enable update of FX USB controller. Controler has been fully reset and "parasitic morphing theme" erased.
But CC1033 has a buggy Alien Fusion service with memory leak...

So I've removed CC1033, clean the register, install CC2010 BUT disable update de FX USB controller. Rebuild Normal Theme and now everything is ok.

    It means :
CC1033 has the right m15x FX controller BIOS but Alien Fusion is unusable because of memory leak.
CC2010 has a usable Alien Fusion but FX controller BIOS is wrong for m15x (despite this CC2010 is suggested by Alienware...)
None of them is able to add special application FX theme.

Lets compare with m15x BIOS :
X32 is usable but possible overheating on discrete graphic adapter
X34 is unusable because of too much streaming latency
X36 is usable but very noisy because of full speed fan

Is Alienware able to deliver complete, stable and bugfree BIOS and applications ???

    Fed up...
    Regards
