After changing out my keyboard on my m9700 I put it all back together to find that I had no video. Suspecting that I had maybe partly unplugged something in the monitor assembly, I dug around a bit but found nothing out of place. Trying to attach an external monitor is giving me no display either so now I am wondering if my video card is the issue.
Previous to the keyboard replacement there were no issues at all (other than the keyboard) .
At this point I am stumped as to what to try/look for and am hoping someone out there might have some pointers.
Thanks in advance.

Your video cards may be loose - I would suggest you pop off the bottom cover and tighten the screws securing them to the motherboard.

Thanks for the response simonmpoulton.
I have tightened the screws on the video card (they were not at all loose) but have gotten no better results. Still just no video at all. I also reseated the LCD cable again for fun but still am getting no love. -
Was the m9700 SLI? If so try only using one card. If that doesn't work you may want to try another mxm card. If it were the lcd cable I'd think you would still get video from an external monitor.
