I'm using the 169.25 driver and my games have incredible performance. When I tried using the 169.28 I was taking major hits. lol

@Caffeninated - I know this is off topic but you should either change it to 2048 or 2GB. 2048MB is what you actually paid for, and 99% of people refer to it either as 2048 or 2GB, not the actual amount.

@Eight - I quoted you if that is okay.

Windows should have a standard driver for it, atleast it does for the 32bit OSs. Try uninstalling the device and than let windows pick it up.

I've try to instal new bison cam driver, and it dosn't work... Black cam and "no cam" in bison "livecam"...
I had to go back with Alien CD drivers or the file "Camera_BS_13_XP_060103.zip"...

I don't think they made a new bison cam driver for about 3 years. Atleast a non computer/manufactuer specific one. AW never seems to update their Bison drivers, had the same issue with my M7700.

Hi This is my first post so go easy on me,

I recently got my first Alienware and i was pretty happy with it but i chose to have it shipped with vista for my sinns as waiting for xp was going to delay the unit by 5 weeks.

What i need is the SATA driver for the hard disk so i can build it in to my xp image using nLite. Anyone know where i can get this ?

    Thanks

The updated bluetooth didn't update the software for me; it also knocked out the Bison Webcam, I would pull it because it appears to be unstable.

If you check the software version after the update, it still appears the same.

Hey, I'm having problems downloading the drivers from LaptopVideo2Go. Everytime I try to download it, it says Authentication Required and wants me to put in a username and password. So i registered on the website and everything but everytime I try to download it, it just wont let me. Even if I enter my username and password, it'll just ask me again and again. I feel kinda dumb haha, is it just me or is there something that I'm missing?

Again new RealTek High Definition Audio (v1.90) :)

Has anyone tried the NVIDIA 174.74 drivers besides me? I've got problems with rundll32.exe, but don't know if it has anything to do with the drivers.

eightd are you still on 174.16? You swear on that driver?

hey walujam...I've been getting the rundll.exe error ever since I installed 174.74...I've rolled back to 174.16 but am still getting it. It doesn't seem to have any real impact on the operating environment, I just acknowledge it and it shuts down the program (not even sure what program it closes)

any idea what causes this - any known fix?

Yeah, I tried 174.74, it crashes after an hour of playing on several games. So I rolled back to 174.16 I have never crashed using it. BTW after performance boost of 173.xx, All the drivers after seem perform the same. The challenge is to find the most stable.

Make sure you uninstall the previous driver completely. Use the driver cleaner app that Stone mentions.

Oh, okay. So I'm not the only one who got problems with 174.74.

I solved the problem the way eightd described. I fully deinstalled the drivers and went back to the original Alienware drivers. Then I updated again to 174.16. Since then everything works fine.

I don't know the exact problem, but I seems that the nvconsolepanel of 174.74 easily crash.

@eightd You forgot to update the RealTek drivers to 1.90.THEY ARE ESSENTIAL! :) No, just kidding. Just another update...

174.16 seems to be the most stable 174.xx driver right now. Very little complaints. If you read above 174.74 is giving people issues, crashes and install problems.
