    Hi all

Looking at trying to breath some new life into my m9750 and just wondering what graphics cards people have managed to cram into one

currently have 2 8800gtx but would be happier with 1 more powerful card

Also does anyone know of a bluray drive that would fit?

ATI 3870m is what you are looking for. Sometimes they apear on ebay, but you can also search this forum for other places people have found them.

    I got a 4850 in my m5750. Wonder if you could get a 4870/4850

Cooling system isn't good enough to support a 4850. 3870 is the best you could do but remember to use a thick paste such as ICD 7.

I had a 280M in mine a while back, but didn't try SLI.

280M or 4870m would be the best you could use. You may have some heat problems though. Like I said, I did get a 4850 into my m5750 which has WAY worse cooling than your m9750.

Thanks for the advice, decided to get 2 3870's and a crossfire cable. I have installed both and they work fully on their own but the second card does not show up when both are installed.

any suggestions? both are master cards but I have been informed this should not be a issue

protivakid thats an AWESOME laptop. The real AW laptops from the old days were just awesome I wish I ordered one back then. Good thing I got in on the P2 chasis before they changed to Dell.

Thanks! It's my favorite version of the laptop cases. It has become a hobby to upgrade my m5750 as much as possible though most of my gaming is done on my i7 hexa-core desktop these days.

You need a re-balling machine (expensive) to be able to replace chips (or be really skillful with a heat gun), the vast majority of people order MXM modules of the right kind.
