This might seem like an odd question. I have a m9750 that has been giving me issues gfx issues. The computer would turn on, lights on, hard drive spinning, but the screen would be totally black. So no BIOS and no safe mode. I plugged it into a external monitor and the screen came on, but it was filled with artifacts and looked like it was something like 4 bit. the
I used the external to get into safe more and tried everythingafter. After a whole lot of nothing I read about the oven baking gfx fix. So removed the card thermal paste did everything else and to my surprise it worked. About 8 months later it happened again, and the oven fix worked again. I that found that the computer was overheating after the first fix so I stated using a laptop cooling pad with a fan to keep it from overheating. This worked fine the second time it died someone had tried to use it without the cooling pad. And yes I did check the internal fans to make sure they were still running and they were.
Well the cooling pad died and of course the person using it my mother kept the laptop on so it fired again. I bought a new cooler with 3 fans for extra cooling and did the oven trick again. It worked and the screen came on. I used speedfan, occt, and Everest to monitor temps. It loads up around 62 or so and within 15 minutes idle it hits about 87 that's when I turn it off.
I am out of ideas to cool it anymore that is where I need help. I used artic thermal paste and it is applied correctly because I have used it a ton of times. The cooler is angled so there is good airflow and the fans are movable so I have then by the gfx card. It is metal mesh so good airflow there too and it has rubber at the corners to stop the laptop from sliding off.
So what else can I do?
Would it be safe to take off the service panel and run it exposed on the cooler to get more air?
That is the only other thing I can think off. I know it's close to dead, but I don't have the cash for a new card. Also it is pretty much my mother's computer now so it's not being used for gaming anymore. I really just need to get some more time out of it since my mother does not have the money to get a new computer. thanks in advance to anyone that might have some advice.
Sorry for any grammar or formatting issues I wrote this on my Android tablet with some swype wannabe keyboard.

i don<t know if the nvidia control panel has the option but on amd you can force the card to always be in power saver mode and thus use less power and produce les heat
if not you could try undervolting/underlocking with the tool to edit nvidias bios so it perma run underclocked
last thing is there is a cloting on the back pannel (if it s like the m17 one) you can remove that
normaly runing without a back pannel would be safe but if the person using it is not attentionate or knowledgable about computer enough to notice when the cooler stop working nothing can be assumed safe
also cheq if the fans are clean not obstructed and if the cards sit well on the cooler
odd question need help
