    problems black screens and g cards

    hi

    i recently bought a second hand m15x t9300 2.5ghz 8800m gtx
    now i couldnt get the g card to show up in win7 so have reinstailled vista 32
    and have had i little sucess it now shows up but has a small yellow triangle on it
    i try booting in to binary gfx mode in a vain attept to get it use these alleged fantastic graphics but the screen gose blank from restart no bios screen it starts windows cos i can here the nice windows sound

    is it possable some one could give me a list of steps i can walk thought to get this set up ive be very apreciative

    Yeah that means the graphics card is busted. The exact same thing happened to mine, it will show the bios screen and then nothing, but the windows tune can still be heard. The 8800M GTX is really bad and is very prone to burning out.

    The only thing you will be able to do is run the computer in standard graphics mode and then try and get a replacement card.

    They are MXM type cards and you can get ATI or Nvidia to work, definatly Nvidia, but not sure what ATI cards are accepted.

    The equivillant Nvidia card is the 9800M GT.

    No. Try and find an ATi Mobility 3870. It's nearly as fast as an 8800GTX, it's much cheaper, and that WON'T burn out provided you apply the thermal paste well.

    It'll work perfectly in the m15x.
