    First of all hello everyone,

Ok i brought a alienware m15x area 51 laptop from ebay, gruanted it was cheaper that i thought they would go for.
Ok my problems - graphics card i have been reasured by the seller a few times that it works but i cant get it to, this is the 8800 gtx im on about not the inbuilt one. I have tried different versions of the drivers needed and they wont instal come up with no hardware found for the drivers or such.
if i look on the device manager under display it only shows the built in intel graphics not the nvida one - so would i be right in saying the card doesnt work ?

secondly - the alienware lighting, ive got windows 7 64bit on it and cant find a download for the comandcenter for it, my question is there a comand center for using on this laptop using windows 7 ? if not just someway of changing the lights, find it difficult typing this with the colour of the keyboard keeping changing.

Im no expert on computer but not tooo bad.

Please can somone help, the graphics issue could be replaced with another card but they sure are pricey.

    Thanks
    Rocky

Hello,ok your my new best friend haha, thanks alot comand center sorted,
But still think my graphics card is up the duff, no life from it. If I switch it to nvida graphics it restarts but black screen, have to turn off and start with built in graphics use right mouse key, now where can iget another card from, seen on eBay people repair them ?
    Worth it ?

    Cheers

You can order a 9800m GTS from mxm-upgrade. It's little bit weaker than an 8800m GTX. They sell these especially for the m15x on this website.

Nobody's ever tried the 250 so I don't know if it would work or not. The 280 GTX would work.
