Companies quote numbers all the time and don't deliver. It's optomistic marketing. Wireless N doesn't ever actually connect and deliver 300mbps, it doesn't have 1000ft range, and that still doesn't stop companies from saying that the specification delivers "up to 300mbps and 1000ft"

Dell certainly will not HAVE to meet any numbers in "real world conditions" because they've been saying "up to 6.5 hours" all along. That little "UP TO" is the key.

Having choices is so confusing for me haha. Thinking about either option A: Build beast desktop buy this for portability or just keep my regular netbook...or B: Buy beastly laptop and go from there.

i am new to the Forum and have been following this thread for a while, very interested in the M11X size and performance, which made me ignore the idea of buying Vaio P for its size. this post caught my attention, which made me think that we might see a core i7 in the M11X after all, Panasonic did/will do it in a 10 inch one :) with Core i7-640UM 1.06 and 1.20GHz options....

that would be ridiculous if confirmed... they are obviously not on par with the 335GT... will cause a cpu bottleneck

perhaps Sony new Vaio Z series will have better performance than this one, even having a slower GPU (330GT) because it will have a core i5 or i7 starting at 2,4ghz... allienware will certainly be bottlenecked strongly by this ty CPU... and they can't even use "business orientated notebook" excuse, cause we all know it's a gamming machine... how stupid can an engineer be to put a 3 years old performance level cpu to work with a strong performance gpu?

Man, you just ruined my day.
Not you personally but with the upsetting news. :(
AW would of hit it out of the park with a i series CPU.
I'm sure at some point we will see them but I just don't get why they are not with the initial launch.
I guess it's what I get for dreaming since AW did say they would have a SU series CPU, I suppose all is not lost but still it would have been nice.
Anyway I guess I will wait till some members get them and post some numbers, I am still interested, but I'm a little crushed.
    POOP!

    Not your fault bro!
Your still the man(or Cow) :p
I guess I just got my hopes up after seeing the specs someone posted on the Chinese site.
You think the new SONY Z will be a better option if you want to game?
I know it will cost an arm and a leg but man I need something in a smaller form factor and 13" is the very most I am willing to go.
    Any other alternatives?

Hmm C2D 1.3 may still cut it for me if I just want to game and browse internet etc right? I mean, I don't do video encoding or large photographs or anything for that matter. I should still be good I think with the M11x.. I just never had a C2D lower than a 2.0 so yeah haha opinions? I'm in the same boat I guess as IKAS V.

Yeah the SU CPU's are not really that bad but after seeing the specs from the Chinese site I was like YEEEHAAAA!
More than likely I will still get one unless something else catches my eye.

Didn't AW used to pride themselves by release cutting edge gaming performance? Now they give us yesterdays cutting edge?

Maybe I'll hold off for a month or so till they figure out a refresh.
