no one knows yet, they should be up for order in about 2 weeks then we will know what the ETA's are
-
-
Dell certainly will not HAVE to meet any numbers in "real world conditions" because they've been saying "up to 6.5 hours" all along. That little "UP TO" is the key. -
cookinwitdiesel Retired Bencher
but up to also means that under some circumstance, it can be done
-
-
can anyone link me to the sweepstakes? I didn't see anything about this
-
Having choices is so confusing for me haha. Thinking about either option A: Build beast desktop buy this for portability or just keep my regular netbook...or B: Buy beastly laptop and go from there.

Go there, scroll down. -

i am new to the Forum and have been following this thread for a while, very interested in the M11X size and performance, which made me ignore the idea of buying Vaio P for its size. this post caught my attention, which made me think that we might see a core i7 in the M11X after all, Panasonic did/will do it in a 10 inch one
with Core i7-640UM 1.06 and 1.20GHz options....

CPUs that will be avalible are a SU4100 SU7300
SO THERE YOU GO
Don't ask how I know but those are the ones -
cookinwitdiesel Retired Bencher
party pooper lol
-
Just letting you know ...
It could of been SU4300 ... not 100% but those are it -
-
cookinwitdiesel Retired Bencher
dell already uses the su4100 in the Mini 11z so that is more probable
-
there goes my dream.....
-
It's not stupid it's the truth
trust me -
can be true, and will be very, very idiot if confirmed
is it at least possible that we replace the original cpu or are they solded in allienware? -
-
-
cookinwitdiesel Retired Bencher
that will put them behind the market.....shame
-
-
you were right in the past, as you were one of the pro´s together with some others, who advised me to wait for the launch of the new M15x and you were also right with the spec´s of the M15x
-
Not always right :/
-
but most of the time
-
Anyone have a good idea of when dell will release actual confirmed specs for this thing?
-
-
Damn it, I need a laptop ASAP I sold my ul30vt already.....if its a SU cpu im gonna have to look elsewhere
Even the macbooks are prolly getting i5/i7 on tomorrows conference... -
I have no idea where Moo gets this information from? LOL
-
-
-
I would trust Moo's post on this.
-
perhaps Sony new Vaio Z series will have better performance than this one, even having a slower GPU (330GT) because it will have a core i5 or i7 starting at 2,4ghz... allienware will certainly be bottlenecked strongly by this ty CPU... and they can't even use "business orientated notebook" excuse, cause we all know it's a gamming machine... how stupid can an engineer be to put a 3 years old performance level cpu to work with a strong performance gpu?

Credit goes where credit is due

Not you personally but with the upsetting news.
AW would of hit it out of the park with a i series CPU.
I'm sure at some point we will see them but I just don't get why they are not with the initial launch.
I guess it's what I get for dreaming since AW did say they would have a SU series CPU, I suppose all is not lost but still it would have been nice.
Anyway I guess I will wait till some members get them and post some numbers, I am still interested, but I'm a little crushed.
POOP! -
Sorry , I just relayed the info :/
-
Not your fault bro!
Your still the man(or Cow)
I guess I just got my hopes up after seeing the specs someone posted on the Chinese site.
You think the new SONY Z will be a better option if you want to game?
I know it will cost an arm and a leg but man I need something in a smaller form factor and 13" is the very most I am willing to go.
Any other alternatives? -
Hmm C2D 1.3 may still cut it for me if I just want to game and browse internet etc right? I mean, I don't do video encoding or large photographs or anything for that matter. I should still be good I think with the M11x.. I just never had a C2D lower than a 2.0 so yeah haha opinions? I'm in the same boat I guess as IKAS V.
-
Yeah the SU CPU's are not really that bad but after seeing the specs from the Chinese site I was like YEEEHAAAA!
More than likely I will still get one unless something else catches my eye. -
steveninspokane John 14:6 - Only ONE Way!
Didn't AW used to pride themselves by release cutting edge gaming performance? Now they give us yesterdays cutting edge?
Maybe I'll hold off for a month or so till they figure out a refresh.
